Question about Toshiba 46SL417U LCD TV
The screws that attached my previous tv to my wall mount are too small for this tv. the screws that came with the tv are only about 1/4" long...not long enough to go through the mount and into the tv with any kind of acceptable depth. the screws are maybe a 1/2 turn into the screw holes in the back of the tv. i've gone to both home depot and menard's so far and neither carried a screw that works. any thoughts?

SOURCE: Can't find screw size to
M8 - according to a document I found online for a Toshiba mounting bracket kit for their LCD TVs the bolt size is M8. It should be easily available in a large hardware store or place that sells large flat screens.
Make sure you hand tighten it into the mounting hole before attaching any brackets, to judge the proper depth for tightening. Over-tightening with a long bolt could damage the TV.

Sounds like you are attempting to screw in the wrong length of bolt. Tv's generally use a shorter bolt and you should NOT attempt to screw it in any more than it will physically go - remember, there is sensitive electronics behind those holes that may break when you screw something in too far.
Just screw them in as far as they will go and leave it at that. Alternatively, go down to your local hardware store and find a bolt of the same size but shorter.
