Can't get the Aging Patterns to Stop

I replaced the lamp and while in the Mute 182 diagnostics, I looked at the various Options. Now I can't get the Aging Patterns to stop appearing every time I power up the television.

I can get the Aging Patterns to go away if I work with it ... but its back again the next time i power up.

Must be something simple. TV works fine ... good picture.

    The solutions did not work.

There is no SAVE button on the screen.

I hit bot the ENTER as well as END buttons and I can see the timer light going on and off rapidly like something is being saved ... but its not.

I unplugged the set for 30 minutes ... no change. When I turn it on and get back to the diagnostics screen, the Aging Patterns is lit up in yellow like its waiting for some type of intervention. I've tried going to User Reset and then going through Enter and End and Off/On ... no difference.

How do I get out of Aging Patterns on the diagnostics screen?

    Thanks

4-5hours should be long enough if it is processing. It wasn't.

I am suspecting just as Mute 182 turns the service menu on, there is another button pattern to save and exit the service menu. Note I have previously referred to the service menu as a diagnostic screen.

Still looking for a solution that works ... saves and exits the service menu.

  • Ptuii Oct 29, 2008

Steps 4 & 5 have on affect on the service menu.

Only the up and down arrows move the cursor to a different Options item.

Every time the TV is powered up, it automatically opens up with the Aging Pattern option highlighted. Clearly the service menu is not closing.

  • Ptuii Oct 30, 2008

Team was helpful. Service Menu has stopped appearing although I'm not quite sure why. I think the solution involved one of the following: 1.) Hitting the Menu button twice 2.) Hitting the Menu button then the Mute button or 3.) Allowing the Aging Pattern to stay on for several minutes while it ran completely through it's processing routine.

Whatever the solution, I am appreciative for the help provided by the Experts on this site.

Go to the diagnostic menu and save.

Try also unplugging the TV for some time, to reset it , in case is stuck with the diagnostic menu.

I have a 2007 yukon denali xl, I got my front brakes and right wheel hub changed. When he got doney brake lights in the back of the truck wI'll not shut off. Brake light switch did nothing to help..

Who put the front brakes an wheel hub bearing on the vehicle ? A qualified repair shop ? A friend ? The front brakes an wheel hub would have nothing to do with the brake lights . An the brake light switch is an input to the BCM - body control module .
Stop Lamps
When the driver presses the brake pedal, the switch contacts open and battery positive voltage is interrupted to the BCM. The BCM then supplies voltage to both the turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuit and trailer rear turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuits. The BCM also supplies voltage to the CHMSL though a dedicated circuit.
I suggest you take it back to who did the front brakes , or a quailfied repair shop .

I have an HL- t50756 and it turns off every 10 minutes

Try to reset the lamp timer. To do this get the remote first shut off the TV. Then on the TV remote (not cable remote ect) press MUTE
then punch in the numbers 182 then POWER in that order, wait when the TV starts up the Factory meneu will appear go to Options press, then look for Lamp Hrs. to see how many hours you have on your lamp TV lamps last appox 2 years average use. 4,000 hrs. Try this, above where you see the hours go to reset or something like that and press to reset blub timer to zero. Your blub might still be ok, but the timer says times up and tries to shut off the TV thinking the blub is bad. By reseting the blub timer to zero the TV will think it's a new lamp. Until it really goes then no picture at all or gets very dark. Try this trick it might solve your problem.

Good Luck!

How do i reset lamp hours?

You have to go into service mode to do this. Hit mute on remote then 182 then power button. Unit will come on in service mode, look through each option by pressing enter until you see lamp timer and press enter to reset. turn tv off to resume normal viewing. Please do not change any other settings as this could mess up ur television if you do not know what the functions are. Press the select or enter key to open an option menu for any of the options listed. Use the up down keys to highlight different options. Look for Lamp Clear option and press enter on arrow key to select

Samsung dlp hln617w aging pattern problem

I am actually having the same problem. I just reciently installed a new bulb and messing around in the service menus, and ended up with the same problem. I found that if if in the same menu the aging pattern was in, I think it was the last menu, and click on the EW RESET, let the TV reset and that should fix your problem.
