Question about Lexmark C540N PROD SPECS TBD Printer
I have taken out the case that holds overflow of ink, underneath the square toners themselves, and shook it out completely. Messy! It has All new toners, as it is colored printer. It started out to be just small smudges, progressively gotten worse. Is there a way that i need to be replacing some type of ribbon or something? Thenks for any inpput at all!
Best bet is to remove the cartriges, open all areas of the printer you can, remove the fuser. Then take a can of air and blow everything out. Reasemble the printer and run a few test pages. The smudges may be worse at first but should clear up. If this does not work, then try replacing the cartridges with a spare if you have one. If you find that it is a certain cartridge that is causing the issue, then you have a bad one. If it makes no difference at all, try to replace the fuser.
