Re: Power problem code sc552 lanier
What is the error code? Many of the codes refer to a general electrical problem, and often turning the machine off, resetting the circuit board connectors and harnesses and memory sticks, and turning the machine back on will clear the error code and allow the machine to boot up normally.

You have a Fuser Temperature warm-up error, Hot roller warm-up error. Verify the heater lamps, thermistor and thermofuse continuity. Enter in the SP mode, turn OFF the main switch, unplug the machine, wait 10 seconds, plug in and turn ON the copier. If you need to reset the fuser, Enter SP 5-810 (SC code reset) and select "1". Then simultaneously press the Original Type key and the OK (or R/#) key. (There is no need to turn the main switch off and on.).
sc320 on the Lanier 5635 is a laser unit error code. Often if you power cycle the machine (turn it off with the orange power switch on the left side of the copier, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on) the code will clear and the copier will resume normal operation. If the error code comes back or doesn't clear, you'll probably need to replace either the entire laser assembly or the polygon mirror motor inside the laser unit. These are best done by a professional -- contact your local Lanier service company if the problem persists.
