Kenmore range- oven won't heat

The electronic display panel made some additional clicking noises, but there is no error message. The oven will not heat and/or broil. The elements are fine. It is only a few years old. The burners work fine. This is an electric range. The model # is 665.92142300. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

SOURCE: Kenmore range oven model 880, broil element stays on

The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven.

This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board.
If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe.
If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

The front panel keeps showing F10 Err message ?? And it won't stop beeping, any idea what it could be??

Hello,
The F10 error code means that was a runaway over heating that occured in the oven. The things that could cause the over to overheat to the exterme of the F10 error code reqirements is during self clean normal cleaning temp. IF it wasn't cleaned just before the F10 error code, first the oven temtature sensor needs to be replaced then if F10 comes back after the sensor is replaced the computer control board needs to be replaced.

We used the self cleaning option on our Kenmore Gas Range (model number 665.72004101 or 665.75004101) and now the oven door remains locked and the error message on the screen is e1 - f5. How do we unlock...

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair this oven failure. Inner part of Triple element on 790.9912940 won't turn on I just experienced the same problem I've been reading about here and on other appliance repair sites: the inner element of my Kenmore Elite's front-right triple element will not turn on, despite the control panel saying it's "on." The range is about 2 years old, just like many other people have said. Also, Sears naturally wants to charge $65 to even come look at the part, and then several hundred more for a new element. From reading other comments and after talking to Sears, it seems like there is no extra warranty or recall on this part. This triple element is apparently a defective design if I can find so many reports of this exact same issue with only a cursory Google search. Would not have bought Kenmore anyway if it hadn't come with the house, because I've heard of this kind of thing with them far too often, despite their obvious good looks and nifty features... I'd rather not have to spend hundreds of dollars just to keep my $1.2k range working properly - for that price it should have a 5-year warranty at least in my opinion. I'm going to see about removing the element and putting in a new one on my own, as getting the part itself (Sears Direct Part Number 316216702) is only about double the cost of getting a technician to come out in the first place. You can see a handy part diagram of the range top at this link, by the way: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/showSubComp.pd?imageUrl=http%3a%2f%2fc.searspartsdirect.com%2flis_png%2fPLDM%2fR0610001-00003.png The element that has failed on my range is part 15B in the diagram.
