Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Zennox record player USB and aux plugs, the record player keeps stopping and returning the needle to the side and stops playing literally 30seconds into the record, doesn't matter what track it's on it only lasts 30 seconds and then returns to the side automatically and stops spinning? I realise some of there record players recognize when the record has ended and auto return the handle to the side, but this is doing this half way through a track

SOURCE: Record will not play to end.

There is a mechanism underneath the deck which senses "end of record". This is operating too early and will require adjustment.

SOURCE: I have an older 78 record, and the arm

There should be some kind of screw on the arm to adjust it. You might have to experiment, or get a service manual. When adjusting, try doing it without the platter powered, by hand movement only.

SOURCE: how do I adjust the auto return on a JVC A-21

Hi, this problem is caused by the cut off switch not depressing far enough to turn unit off. To remedy you need to do as follows.
1. Disconnect from power supply.
2. remove platter.
3. Flip unit over to expose the underside and remove all screws.
4. Remove base board.
5. Look at the gearing beneath the tonearm and identify switch that tonearm depresses at the rest point.
6. Loosen switch retaining screw and turn switch toward centre of turntable slightly until it clicks or closes. Tighten screw to hold switch firmly in place at that point.7. Reassemble and test.

Good luck. John. Styluscity@gmail.com.

Does using an ipod/AUX adapter through the CD changer input stop a real CD from working?

you have to change it from the Aux setting to CD when you want to play cd, some cd players switch to aux. automatically when you plug inthe aux. cable. and may have to be unplugged when playing cd.

Record player repair

The top arm that swings over the spindle will control the automatic return. Leave the unit off. Swing the overhead holding top arm over and manually load a record. Now switch the top arm over the niddle spindle. Make sure that the switch is set for 7", 10" or 12" (45, 78, or 33). Manually place the tonearm at the start of the record and flip switch to 'play' (not reject or auto). It should play the whole record and automatically eject at the end and then shut off. Leave the arm swung over the middle after you loaded the record. Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I have a BOSS BV9970 stereo. the usb will not let me play my ipod, it starts to load it but stops halfway through. and when i try to use the aux, my right rear and right front speakers will not play.

sounds like a loose connection on the aux input. boss has a pretty bad reputation for there usb / aux connections inside the unit. also if your right rear and right dont play on anything its bc you have them turned down. or if this is recently installed they got mixed up. please let me know more details so i can better help you
