Question about Neovo F-417 17" LCD Monitor
The monitor i have is a Neovo F-417 17" LCD Monitor and i have had it for over 6 months. I have had no problems with it previously until now. Yesterday it was all fine. This morning when i turn the computer and monitor on, the menu screen from the lcd monitor appears all the time and automatically flashes though each of the categories such as contrast, brightness, auto adjustment..... I have tried pressing all the menu buttons but this has not helped. I also have restarted my computer many times and have unplugged and replugged power chords and chords connecting to the monitor to the computer. I have also run a virus check. I don't know what else to try. Please could you try and tell me what the problem is. Thanks
I tried cleaning the plate as suggested but had the same problem. So I decided to see what would happen if I disconnected the button board all together. I haven't had a problem since. I don't know if this is a good idea or not but it worked for me. You need to make sure the monitor is in the on position before you do so. Since obviously you can't turn it on or make adjustments to the monitor afterwards but I never made any adjustments to it anyway.

Had the same problem on several occasions. The problem seams to apear after a period of several days of inactivity in a cold room, so I think it has something to do with moisture. The problem was solved after gently warming up the region of the buttons with a hairdryer.

Hello, this model is a piece of funny electronics :-) , I ve got this for repair ( PSU was ko ) and this was a second fault ( auto adjusting windows appears all the time ) I have measured the microswitch for auto adjustment and it looks that had sometimes a drop about 600mV on diode test when should be off, I have replaced the uSW but start to appear OSD and menu rotated on the left :-D so I have replaced the uSW for the left arrow and all is ok ( to be honest after this I have replaced all uSW because the price is few cents and I don't intend to open this LCD again :-) )

The problem is the little electronic plate or circuit (sorry if my english is not that good)that has the buttons on it to control the functions on/off, left/right, up/down and auto adjust. I have had the same problem and solved it. You can do this yourself by opening the monitor (not so easy so be carefull not to break anything), remove the print with the buttons on it and clean up the metallic pollution that sits on the black plastic outside of the little buttons. That kind of pollution causes a short circuit into the print in an unpredictable way. This is also the reason why pressing the buttons has no effect anymore. The problem has gone for about 8 months and today it is back, so it seems that there is a production problem with the buttons. The metallic pollution is, so it seems, self regenerating, maybe due to electrolyse or something like that. I hope this explanation is helpfull for all other users with the same problem. Good luck!!
