Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2 (e8503040) for PC
I have an Hp laptop
and i cant seem to get xp installed on it. I can't disable SATA native in the bios. I also have created a million Windows xp installation cds with every driver combination that anyone can think of and i am still getting a blue screen of death right before i can view my hdd. I dont konw what to do. I have vista and hp, intel, and microsoft all want to make money and not help me.
can some one either help me out of lead me to the right driver combo for xp to install? I have searched in google for hrs and I'm losing hope.
I apologize and I hate to be the one to tell you this but especially with HP Laptops (considering the fact I have a HP Pavilion DV 9535 w/ Vista Home Premium) I asked a HP representative if i could downgrade to Windows XP and the HP representative had told me this they're are driver's out there but you need to go threw each and every manufactor manually and find the driver for each product with your computer, because HP and Microsoft are not going to support it anymore. They are supportive of Windows Vista Operating systems now, and I am always honest and really all they want is your money. If you want I can get together with you over via phone and assist you with finding the driver's you may call my office at 1-978-878-0014 Ext. 182 and I will be more than happy to assist you with this. Is there anything else you need help with?

I tried everything I could to install XP on my dv7-1175nr, because Vista didn't have the drivers for my treo 755p but it wouldn't do it. Then I realized I was trying to put 32bit XP on a 64bit system. You probably would think it wouldn't be a big deal but it is everything. The boot loader is in the firmware possibly even the hardware. The only way around it is to do an network install and you have to go into the Bios to tweak it right. If you downgrade to 32bit your system will only recognize 3gb of memory but O well. Hope that helps. By the way a friend Amer Jarrah co-owner of bitsnbytes computer repair in Fairfield was the one who helped me figure it out and get Windows7 installed. Hola su problema se resuelve bajando el controlador (driver) del disco duro, luego lo bajan en un pc que tenga instalado Nlite y crean un cd de xp booteable con los drivers del disco duro y listo yo la hice

I checked online and I have the same laptop model you do and XP is not compatible with this computer. I wanted to do the same thing, but found out that it just can not hold on the dv7-1175nr
