SOURCE: I am attemping data recover on Hitachi 80 GB 2.5" SATA hard drive, need instruction to open cover, etc.

Generally there is a small screw, (Or two of them), that go through a thin metal tab, affixed to the harddrive. They usually have a strip of thin cloth, that you pull on, to ease the harddrive out, after the screw is removed. Sometimes it's hard to see.

I have to give you this information in a generic form, because laptops differ in the way they keep the harddrive in. I better go ahead, and tell you, that this specific info may not be available, for your particular laptop. However, you may want to come back, and post the laptop manufacturer name, and model number, in case it is. (I've worked on many, and have a lot of information available, but am being straight up front with you, that I do not have info available for every laptop out there. Just trying to help, is all)

Hitachi H3D10003272S, 3GB/S or 6GB/S ?

That hard drive has a Sata II (3b/s) interface so you won't get any extra performance from a Sata III (6b/s) port, but it will still run, but it will run as Sata II (3b/s).

Any it should be 3gb not 3gB
b = bit
B = byte
byte = 8 bits

So you would think that a 3gb/s would operate at 375MB/s but manufacturers advertise everything as 10bits = 1 byte so you have to take the speed or even hard drive size and multiple by .8 to get the actual speed 375 * .8 = 300MB actual speed.

Hello, i need a driver for a Hitachi HTS545050B9A300 hard drive. thankyou.

Hello , You do not really need a driver to install a new hard disk in your computer, You have to activate the port you connected the driver in the bios of the computer Once the bios detect that new drive, it will be detected by Windows

Need a driver

Your hard drive doesn't need a driver ... the sata controller on the motherboard that the hard drive is connected to does.
You will probably find the driver on the cd that came with the motherboard in a folder called "RAID" or "SATA" or "device drivers".
If you don't have the CD you will need to visit the website of the PC/Motherboard manufacturer to download it.
