Basically, i got a 'big ben interactive' mega pack when u bought the ps3. all that came with it was ps3 stand, a memory stick and the wireless controller (needs batteries, NO USB CABLE) when i turned it on, the four red lights flashed continuously, then just stopped. it wasnt controlling what was happening on the screen at all?! and to make matters worse, my wireless controller that came with the ps3 has gone crazy! the right analog stick is playing up-i cant control the view on games and on fifa, i cant control the players! ive tried charging it and resetting it, nothing helps! aargh!!

C1-2858-3 is a "Bad Plug-In" Error (which is a programming files the game uses to be able to display correctly on your PSV) You have to disable one of them because obviously it is not working correctly. This is how. (Reset your Vita first) then:
1.click on your game
2.now start your game, but while it is loading in the initial game loading screen hold R (Right Trigger)
3.this will bring up your recovery screen (text only).
4. go to "Plug-Ins" section, click on it, find the plug-in that is "enabled" and disable it by clicking on it.
5.now go back out all the way, and re-start your game. it should work now.
on the back of the ps3 bluetooth controler there a tiny whole ,put a paper clip to reset controller . when lights are of go to ps3 hold down select and ps3 button at sametime . then horizantily hold the start button. this worked for arsenal ps3 bluetooth controller dont no about original ps3 controller
it seems like the charge cable isnt charging the pack. have u tried using an alternate charging method like a charge stand? or try on another controller, if it still doesnt work on another controller, its your charge cable.
bigben controller and ps3
i had this problem with bigben mega pack bought with ps3 nov08
the problem is caused i find that the sony wireless controller supplied has been already allocated as number 1 controller, this has to be changed while the bigben matches
boot the machine with sony controller and go into settings\accessory settings\reassign controllers\ and re-assign the sony as number 3 (use left stick to move numbers up/down)
plug in the bigben receiver unit into a usb slot and then switch on the bigben now the receiver light should now stop flashing and the bigben now has a single light agains number 1
go again into re-assign controllers and change the bigben to number 2 then re-assign the sony controller from number 3 to number 1
close down system re-boot using the sony PS button (the bigben PS button does not boot PS3)
the sony should now be indicating that it is again number 1 the bigben receiver unit should have a steady red light but the bigben will have all the lights flashing - click the PS button and they will stop it now should only showing one light next to number 2, so is assigned as number 2 conroller
thats it ' Note: I wanted to use 2 controllers for the game 'littlebigplanet' Now if the two controllers are on, the game asks to assign a profile for the other controller when it opens, so then you choose another user (that u have created) Then another rag doll drops into the pod that is controlled only by the bigben (user2)
if you want to be able to play your ps3 downstairs with your modem upstairs, you might consider buying a Wireless Router that has Wireless G , for your PS3. This will allow you to access your Internet all around your house without wires. I suggest looking for one that features MIMO or range plus max, or anything else that increases your signal range since there is a fair amount of distance involved.
The alternative is relocating your modem downstairs and hooking it up to the PS3. BUT your computer wont have Internet.
