I just bought a pioneer AV receiver and the boombox was working last night but now it isn't. The blue light is on.Tried to reset it by switching it off for 10 minutes but that didn't work.
Re: boombox isn't working but the blue light is on.
Unfortuneately the standby light has activated because there is a short in one or more of the audio output ic's, remove speaker wires from back and power on, if no change! outputs need to be replaced, if yes! check wires for shorts and hook one at a time until problem is found,

Possibilities: your source setting is wrong, your tape monitor switch (if it has one) is on, your speaker selector position is wrong. Do any lights come on?
The company's advertisement says it all. The company has mentioned the receiver as "Industry's First AV Receiver Designed for iPad". So it cannot compared with TV.
hi,
You have to order for the IR receivermodule for the system. Also check inside the frond panel of the system is there is any durstaccumulated in frond of the IR receiver unit.
ok
See now what happen to me just last night actually was I was listening to music and had the receiver turned up to about -55. all of a sudden, it showed me AMP ERROR and shut off all on it's own and would not turn on.... I later was snooping around my wiring and fount two wires were touching. I have had the receiver unplugged since the incedent last night and I am going to try to get it working when I get home from work.. I know that it is a beautiful sound system and its sound quality is just amazing. It's definately the best system I have owned and I really hope that leaving it off for 24 hours will reset it and make it work again. I don't really have the money to go out and buy a new one.. nor do I really want to... If you have any luck you can let me know! Thanks!
Had a power surge last night and got the same problem. Unit wont power on and has a blinking blue light on standby button. I found the solution from the service manual for a similar model.
Hold down ENTER and ADVANCED SURROUND buttons.
This resets the DC overvoltage sensor and bingo the unit comes back to life again.
A blue screen means the TV is not receiving a video signal. Check all connections, then try another player, cable, etc. Also, check DVD and TV AV settings.
