Question about Samsung RFG297AARS (285 cu ft) Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

How do I clean around the rim of the refrigerator drawers?

When I pull out the refrigerator drawers, I notice that when liquids have previously leaked in the drawers that around the front rim of all of the drawers that the liquids (brown in this case) have dried up. Based on my assessment of the drawers, it looks like somehow the front of the drawers actually somehow come off so that I can clean this off. The issue is that I can't figure out how to remove the plastic front without being concerned about damaging the front. HELP!

I have the same problem. Looks like the drawer should pop apart but I am afraid of damaging it.

I just chatted with Samsung support tech and following is how the tech said to clean the drawers. Apparently, there is no way to disassemble the drawer.Veronica A: Power off the unit. Veronica A: Remove the removable drawers. Veronica A: Move the unit to open place. Veronica A: Using a water pipe, apply high pressure water on the drawers. Veronica A: The water will remove the crud.

Well, you can get it apart enough to clean it as follows...
Take the draw out and tap the lower front section with your hand only. Tap it a few times on each lower corner and it will pop out a bit - enough to clean anyway. The top corners are fix and don't come apart (looks glued).
To put it back just tap the front in with your hand only - don't use tools or it will break.
    Hope that helps.

Samsung draws are removable, but they are a pain and have to be pulled out, then lift up which allows you to bet the nylon wheel guide to dip under stops, and sometimes takes a little force taking out, and putting back in.

Unplug the refrigerator, open the door and get a blow dryer and warm up the freezer. wait until the water stop dripping out or about 12 to 24 hours and then you can plug it back in . it will work for 2 to 3 weeks. To unplug the drain.defrost the freezer .remove the back cover. Use a pipe cleaner to clear the drain. pour a few cups of hot water down the drain. the drain hose may be just pulled off must let the water drip in the pan.

Liquid detergent won't dispense properly.

Pull out the dispenser drawer as much as you freely can. There is a tab that you can depress to pull the drawer out completely. You can then rinse it completely with hot water to ensure it is not clogged.

Refrigerator sub zero 736 TC water leaking under vegetable drawer

Usually from plugged evaporator drain tube.

remove all the drawers and unscrew the frame that holds the drawers. Free the the drain tube (need to unscrew the clamps that hold the tube to the back wall). Pull it up from the bottom hole where it drains into the pan and free it from the top drain pan. Most likely it\'s plugged with crap and fungus and yecchy stuff. Clean it out and reinstall it.

I have a Whirlpool ED5KVEXVQO2 Side by Side refrigerator. It is still very cold but making odd noises and smells like rotting oranges, mainly in freezer. Is this freon?

refrigerant doesn't smell much at all. remove all drawers, clean and defrost, rinse inside with sanitizer. you may find somethimg fallen where you can't see it normally. also check and clean outside as well, particularly around the compressor and condenser where it gets very hot.

Water leaking into bottom of refrigerator section

Make sure you dry everything in the freezer when you have the door open and remove ice. It won't be a leak it will simply be the warm air inside the freezer that has turned into condensation. Double check the seal around the door to see if it curled up as that could be letting warm in and cold out giving same results.

Water collecting under crisper drawers.

When the refrigerator goes into defrost mode there is a drain tube that allows water melted off the evaporator coil to go into the drain pan that you found empty. That drain tube is clogged.

Jvc av-48wp74 the convergence has a downward green curve when I removed chaisse drawer Inoticed that the green tubes cooling system leaked out the ruber poutch on the unit was empty ?what to do to rep

Check the info from this website in regards to the leaky CRT you got.
If the coolant liquid spread over any board, I would suggest to clean it throughout using a paint brush and rubbing alcohol.
Good Luck.

Sliding drawer in the top refrigerator section

hi i have the 700tc as well,,ok the best way to place the drawer,,,extend the 2 sliders all the way out,,there is one pin at the end of each slider and 1 hole on each side of the drawer lip which lays on the track ,,,the holes on the drawer must fall into the pins otherwise it will not close,,,so place the drawer on top of the slider ,,,what usually happens is the sliders tend to roll back into the housing of the fridge,,,so while the drawer is resting on the sliders reach under the lip of the drawer and pull each slider until the the holes of the drawer falls into the pins,,,when the drawer is seated in the pins it will close smooth,,,hope this helps

Freezer Drawer Stuck

Our 550 bottom freezer drawer froze shut earlier this week and the motor made an unusual sound, like it was working too hard. Two of us eventually were able to open the drawer to find that it had frozen shut due to a leak which filled the ice tray solid and then adhered to the actual door, freezing it shut. We emptied the fridge and freezer, turned the control dials down to 0, but neither the motor nor the light would go off. We finally killed the circuit breaker to get the appliance to shut down. It's cleaned and defrosted and we noticed that the gasket has torn in three places, two on the fridge door and one on the freezer door. The freezer door could be from our tugging, but the refrigerator door is normal wear and tear. We filled the tears with some kind of putty and when it is dry we will start everything up again. This is not the first problem of this nature we have experienced with our subzero 550, but it is the most dramatic. Each previous time we have called a repair man out and he has been unable to fix it.

GE Refrigerator, Model TBX22ZA

One thing I might suggest is to check and see if the magnetic seal around the outside of the door is clean, tight, and fitted properly as this is one thing that can cause this condition.
