Most often it will require an output IC, but I have seen it be a bad ground or a transistor in the protect circuit.

sure...red and white out of the dvr into any input on the 3770 and it should work if its setup and working properly. good luck

SOURCE: When I turn my optimus
unfortunately most stereo mfgs. install a protect (shutdown) citcuit if it detects an internal short (bad amplifier )or a external short( bad speaker)....disconnectl speakers see if it still shuts down if so there is a genuine component failure inside..however if it stays on then in all likliehood its a bad speaker
