thanks but hey m using wireless modem.First, I upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit. When I had installed my games, I tried to add my Joystick. I discovered Windows 7 doesn't support standard gameport devices, only USB. No problem, I have a converter cord that lets me use my gameport Joystick on a USB port. I plugged it in and got nothing. No sound effect, nothing. I tried looking for it in the devices menu, the game controller and after that I noticed yellow exclamation marks on Multimedia Network controller,I downloaded the network drivers from the Dell site and installed them but still no change. It is still the same.:-( :-( :-(

SOURCE: cant find my wireless card in device manager in acer travel mate 2300

Hi,

In some Acer models, there is a software switch in Start/All Programs/Acer Launch Manager. If this is missing, you need to reinstall since even with the WiFi hard switch activated, this application is required. This is so especially if a new/clean/OEM install of the OS has been done on the laptop.

In some models, there is a hard switch either at the front or at the side to activate the internal wifi (and bluetooth). Still in other, there is button on the leading edge of the computer which also serves as an indicator lamp,

Some models also have WiFI enable/disable in the BIOS/CMOS setup.

Still others have a button along with the Easy-launch strip (top) together with the those for email , bluetooth , Acer Arcade & others.

As shown above, depending on the specific model/region version of your laptop, the WifI activation can be varied.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Lenovo 3000 C100 problem, I have lost my wireless connection to the internet and cant seem to get this working again. THe laptop works windows XP

First please check if the wireless connection drivers are installed.
Please click on start -> Run -> type "devmgmt.msc" with out quotes and click on ok.
This will open Device manager.
In the Device manager, click on the (+) sign beside Network adapter and check if you can see the wireless adapter entry.
If you have any yellow exclamatory marks or red cross mark, you have to install the driver for the device.
If you cannot find the device under network adapters, check if you can see any entry that says as Network controller under other devices.
If so installing the driver should resolve the issue.
If you cannot find the entry in both the locations, then the issue would be with the hardware. Contact the Manufacturer for the service options.

Dell Dimemsion 9100 cannot connect to internet. Windows cannot repair the problem. Tried Windows and Dell drivers for network adapter with same results. Yellow caution sign on network icon.

Hi there

I can understand your issue.

When you same yellow caution i believe the network driver is not installed properly. To resolve this issue please go to device manager.

Locate for the network adapter and click on + sign to explore it.
Below that you can see your network device name, right click on and click uninstall.

Then reboot the computer and that will try to install the network driver ( It works in XP & VISTA). Cause XP & VISTA has the ability to load the default driver.

Then try to reinstall it and that should work.. If still the same issue kindly revert.......

Netgear ga311 will not run after install. indicates error 10

Have you removed the device via the Device Manager? And you have the newest driver available from NetGear?

Will your computer support a Gigabit adapter? Please do one more search --- your computer manufacturer --- to make sure your computer will support the new standard.

Do you have a 100 NIC you can try in your computer ...or is that what you are doing now?

Thanks for posting your question to FixYa.com

thanks

My wireless internet doesn't work, and the on/off switch is turned on

Hi,  Please do the following: Start>Run>type devmgmt.msc>under device manager>Right click on Wireless network adapter>uninstall, once done, click on scan for hardware changes on top. the network adapter would be back on its place. If that doesn't resolve the problem, reinstall the driver for wireless network adapter using the link given below: http://www.drivershq.com/Drivers/Toshiba/Satellite/L305-S5894/4183/9941/42341/Drivers.aspx

hope this resolves your issue.
your feedback is appreciated. Askari :)
