My pioneer sw-8 subwoofer will not power on

If your Pioneer SW-8 subwoofer is not powering on, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the subwoofer and a working electrical outlet. If the power cord is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
  2. Check the power switch: Make sure that the power switch on the back of the subwoofer is turned on.
  3. Check the circuit breaker: The subwoofer may have a circuit breaker that has tripped. Check the circuit breaker on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it by pushing the button back in.
  4. Check the fuse: The subwoofer may have a blown fuse. Check the fuse on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same rating.
  5. Check the auto power function: The subwoofer may have an auto power function that turns it off after a certain amount of time if there is no audio signal. Make sure that the audio source is playing and sending a signal to the subwoofer.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the amplifier or power supply in the subwoofer.

I have Kenwood SW 900 . need to know its out put. Kept for long period

Do you mean the Kenwood SW-200 subwoofer or the SW-200 power meter? The subwoofer can use 50W RMS at 4 Ohms. It's rated at 60W. The power meter reads in two ranges: 20W and 200W.

Kenwood has the manual for the subwoofer on their support site. The direct link to the manual is http://kenwoodusa.com/UserFiles/File/UnitedStates/Home/Manuals/sw200.pdf .

I hope this helps. If you are looking at a different Kenwood product, please clarify which product you have. I can't find a SW 200 receiver from Kenwood.

I just bought a subwoofer and I cannot get it to work. I changed the receiver setting to SW = YES. Where is the correct place to plug it in the receiver, there are two subwoofer outlets.

Here's your manual. Check Pg. 9 for correct Sub Woofer connection. Leave the SW=YES setting as is if you any small speakers in the system. It can be set to SW=PLUS if you want all bass signals sent to the Sub Woofer. It should only be set to SW=NO if no Sub Woofer is connected. Experiment between the YES and PLUS settings and leave it where it sounds best to you.

If this was helpful, please rate it "4 thumbs up" - thanks & good luck!

I was given a Jamo sub 1810, but have no instruction manual. I'm trying to hook up to my Pioneer HTP-2500 home theater system. What would be the correct way? Also if you could help me with the setup,...

Find it here...

The Jamo is self-amplified and accepts Line Level input ONLY.

The HTP-2500 receiver drives a subwoofer directly with SPEAKER LEVEL output only and does not have a volume-controlled output for driving externally-amplified devices.

The left and right outputs from the receiver go to the left and right inputs on the subwoofer and then you wire the left and right speakers to the left and right outputs on the subwoofer....it is sort of what we calll daisy chained

Subwoofer

I suppose that your system requires an active subwoofer, and that you provide one. Some systems, if SPEAKER SIZE in SETUP are set to LARGE for front or center speakers, do not send signal to sub, system redirect signal to front or center speaker. Try to check this.
