Plug your Garmin in the next time you are planning to drive for a couple of hours and let it charge, if not that then it is the connection wire is loose at the base of the unit...go to radio shack if your wire is bad....they have them there.

How do I do master reset for SRTEET PILOTc330 GARMIN ? My GPS is stuck in one location,

Hello there:
To reset the unit there is 2 ways to do this first unplug the unit and remove the battery
Find the reset button if your version has one and hold in for 3 minutes and than return the battery to the case and insert back in unit.and plug in unit and turn on.
OR
the master reset may be reset by unplugging the unit and removing the battery and leaving the unit sit overnight giving the onboard relearn center time to reset it'self normally 3-6 hrs.
However i would refer to your users manual because all models will differ just a little bit. ok
best regards michael

Battery on my garmin c510 sat nan wount hold a charge how easy is it to change

Had the same problem. Fixed with a new battery. Takes the same as a Streetpilot c530 and can be purchased anywhere on line. A 10 minute job with a soldering iron.

1. Open face plate. Unscrew 4 screws. Remove battery connector and clip.
2. Unsolder the wires to the two speakers - 4 wires.
3. Remove the sticky wrap from the old battery and place around the new one (to stop it rattling).
4. Solder back the new speaker wires.
5. Plug in battery, reassemble unit and charge Garmin off PC wih usb cable.
Done!

How to replace battery of Garmin StreetPilot C530 GPS ?

This is not a job for amateurs. You will need a few special tools, and a new battery (3.7 volt / 2200 mAh).
1- Use an old credit card to gently pry off the aqua-blue bezel from the face. That's the piece of trim that fits around the screen.
2- You will see four small #0 Phillips screws. Use a #0 Phillips driver to remove these four screws. You must have a steady, firm grip, and apply a good amount of pressure, or you can strip the heads. Try turning each screw just a tiny bit at a time, until they turn easy.
3- Sit the unit on a table, with the display facing up, and the serial # facing you.
4- Grip the front part, with the display, and pull it out of the back dish, about 4 cm. You may have to jiggle it a bit, to get the steel bracket holding the satellite detector to come loose. Do not yank it further than about 4 cm or you can rip off the flat cable.
5- Fold the display down, toward you, and rest it flat on the table.
6- You will see a steel bracket holding the battery in the dish part. Remove the two #0 screws holding the battery bracket. You may have to peel it off the battery, if there is adhesive around the battery.
7- The hard part: You have to decide to solder the new leads to the speakers (if your new battery came with the special connector), or else clip the 3 wires from the old battery and splice the old leads/wires to the new battery.

Battery dead garmin streetpilot c530

you have a battery for the wrong model, I think they also changed the configuration of the same model number so that it had to be returned for proper service. No matter what you do a 3 pin wont fit a 5 pin socket.

My streetpilot c330 won"t shut off.

IT'S CALLED A FROZEN SCREEN...

2 OPTIONS

ONE, RESET IT !!! (See resetting instructions below)

TWO, let the battery die out!

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers
