SOURCE: Bryston 4b amp, left channel blows the back panel

I would check out whatever drives the left channel first. If it is a transistor, you can put a ohm meter on the terminals and see if it shows a short (amp turned off). If there are two transistors for the left channel, and you find a short on one only, replace the other to be on the safe side.

SOURCE: bryston amp b100 sst intermittent remote volume control problem

Without going to Bryston for a new remote, I would take the batteries out of the remote and soak the remote( slosh it around too) in a zip-lock type bag with pure isopropyl alcohol for a couple hours.
Let it dry. Try volume again

Sony stacking system LBTd505, the sound from the record deck suddenly went very faint. The cd and radio sections are fine. I have tried a new stylus, but no difference. Any ideas?

You have two options. First a faulty cartridge. Or a faulty pre-amp in the main amp.
You can find out if the cartridge (and amp) are playing up. By removing the connectors on the cartridge.
Then with the volume turned up to about half, with your finger, touch each one of the wires one at a time. It will not harm you at all. But you should hear a loud buzz on one wire on the right and a loud buzz on the left on another wire.
The two other wires will either produce a crackle, or a tiny buzz, or nothing at all.
If you do hear a loud buzz on two wires. The cartridge is faulty and needs replacing.
If you hear a slight buzz on them or weak sound. There is either a bad connection between the deck and amp. Or the pre-amp inside the deck which is only used by the record deck so will not effect any other function, is faulty.
You can remove the record deck connections to the amp and again with the amp on half full, touch the inputs with your finger. If you are not hearing a loud hum or buzz, the pre-amp is faulty. If you do the connectors are faulty.

Getting no sound hooked up to pre-amp and 2 rotel 200w amps with snell speakers

You didn't say whether the player is connected by 2 RCA cables (analog) or by digital cable. If by RCA, does the player have a headphone jack? I had a player once with a piece of a headphone that broke off inside the jack, muting the analog outputs.

My Bryston 4B amp was working fine and now only one light turns on and then it shuts itself off, i have unplugged all the cables that go to and from it and it still does the same thing, it's like

Your Bryston has a 20 year factory warranty. start by contacting Bryston, have your serial number handy, and go from there. I have repaired /rebuilt many Brystons, these are most definitely NOT do it yourself amps. A repair tech with some serious skills is needed. Best I can tell you without seeing the amp...Good Luck !!!...Rob

Buzz....hum problem from turntable....

Did you ground the turntable? Most of them have a ground wire located somewhere that connects to a screw on your electrical outlet. You could be getting hum from your pre-amp if it is a low quality one. Try unhooking the pre-amp, if that is the problem you won't hear the hum. If the turntable ground is the problem you won't hear music with no pre-amp but you will still hear the hum.
