Check the vertical out put IC circuits. Go by IC number and search in Google. You will get a application circuit. From that you can make out.
Check the PCB copper tracks. Some times its get oxidized and opens.If found open join the ends, with a insulated wire ( end to end).
Also search typing service manual Philips T V model No. in Google. For some models service manuals are not available. Search by IC part no. will be faster.
If I have the right manual you should connect the wii cable from the package to th backside of the tv. You will see four pluges. Choose with VGA you want to use, this is not important. Use the cable from the wii and plug in two of three pluges, you must match te coulors. If you have a cable box installed you will probably have scart (a big cable with a large head) connect this and it would run smooth. You can also connect the three pluges from the cable to your cable-box, use the red, wihte, and yellow pluge.
Don't know if you have the original codes or not, but here are the codes for Phillips TV's from the original manual. Hope this helps. Try them one at a time and see if they work.
