Hi I have a singer futura ce100 and when I press the start buttin nothing happens. This thing worked fine until a couple of days ago and now nothing. In sewing mode the motor works fine and operates as normal. Now when I press the start button, nothing, no lights flashing, no beeping, just nothing. PLEASE help!

Number 1, go out to the Futura support site at www.Futura-support.com and download the patch for Windows 7. On the left hand side of the screen, click on Downloads, then CE100/150/250/350,etc, etc. Make sure you follow the directions CAREFULLY. Also, be sure to completely UNINSTALL all of the Futura software you've already installed and reboot your computer before starting all of the instructions.
If this gives you any problems, I've posted a solution under the CE100 solutions area for running your machine with Windows Vista/7 using a virtual machine program. It's a lot more steps than using the patch, but some people do still need to go this route. Look for it on the CE100 Solutions/Problems home page. Still, you should be fine just with the patch.
For old models CE100/200/200E Futura software could be upgraded to version 2.5 (ask you Singer supplier), since version 184.108.40.206 windows 7 is supported.
For newer models CE150/250/350 SES1000/2000 software can be updated normally, since version 220.127.116.11 windows 7 is supported.
As far as I remember there was no function "Flip hor./ver." in Futura 1.0.0.x. You could upgrade your software to version 2.5.0.x which is working with ce100/200 sewing machine models and contains functionality as newer models have. In this software version you will find function "Flip" in the context menu of Select mode (select design or color blocks you'd like to mirror, click right mouse button and select in the menu "Flip horizontally" or "Flip vertically").
I have had good luck contacting the Singer peoplee themselves. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for them to respond. But, if that doesn't help try this.
Can you go forward a few stitches annd then start?
If not, try condensing your design by 1-2%. This was recommended to me by Singer when I had part of a design that wouldn't stitch out. It did the same as your whole design. I tend to think it is the digitizer, not the machine in my instance. Have you tried another design by a different digitizer?
Hope this helps.
I received an email back from Singer stating that it is not possible at this time to load the Futura software on a 64-bit system using Vista. I have emailed to ask whether it would load if the OS were XP, but I haven't heard back yet.
They said that they were working on finding a fix for this, but they aren't sure that they will since it's a hardware problem.
