Question about Jl Audio 15W3-D4 Car Subwoofer
My son's sub was cutting in and out for a couple of weeks and now it won't work at all. Only one side (coil) is hooked up, is it possible the the other side could work? I'm also wondering if it could be a bad ground? He has the truck up at college right now so I cant check the ground. Any help would be appreciated.
Sounds like it was wired up wrong. If the ohm load is not correct to the amplifiers specs, it will cause the amp to go into protect mode. Eventually it will go out completly if the proble is not corrected. Try a test speaker on the amp and see if that is the problem or take it to a professional.
