I got it
first you have to UNPLUG your computer(DONT JUST TURN IT OFF) and leave the computer unpluged for 1 hr

while that is happening do the same with the modem. then connect them both back to the power. turn your computer on.

this is the hard part:
turn your modem on while holding the reset button. release the reset button when the power light goes red. it is imporant that you hold RESET while turning the modem on

Thanks
Email me if it dsnt work ashneil.roy@gmail.com

Try turning it off then wait for about 5 mins then turn it back on. If that does not fix it call your Internet Provider.

Slow internet speed

your internet may be slow due to following reasons
- Your ISP (internet service provider) may be having issues with routing signals to you.
- Your browser memory cache is so full, your browser has to slow down to allow for its limited hard drive space.
- You might have spyware/malware infecting your machine, and secretly using your Internet bandwidth.
So You need to optimize browsers and internet connection.
- First of all update the browser
- Disabling The Firewall
- Remove unwanted tool-bars and plug-ins
- clear temp files
- Deactivate background running services
If you are unable to perform above tasks then use a single utility tool like PC Fresher that will not only fix windows errors but will also optimize Internet.

"peaking at 3.1" is the highest possible data transfer rate of the device. however, the transfer capabilities are usually set by your internet provider. you should contact you provider to know if they allow the transfer rates your device can manage.

I have 6mbps speed but my speed get too slow on my modem. so how can i improve my speed.

is that a phone modem

this are conventional speeds expected:
  • Conventional Ethernet can transmit data at rates from 10 Mbps up to 100 Mbps.
  • Phoneline networking specification, HomePNA 2.0, transmits data at rates up to 10 Mbps.
  • One type of powerline networking technology promises data speeds up to 189 Mbps.
  • Wireless Ethernet has data transmission rates up to 11 Mbps.
  • HomeRF goes up to 1.6 Mbps.
  • Bluetooth goes up to 3 Mbps.
the speeds noted above are theoretical as other factors WILL affect your connection speed and WILL LIKELY lower the connection speed between your device and the ISP.

for comparison check on www.speedtest.net and compare other isp, changing isp is your more concret solution.

My dodo wireless broadband is very slow

Not necessarily modems fault. How old is your PC and have you added anything lately that might slow it down. And have you run a virus scan lately?
Virus and worms can slow you down as well as not enough memory.

Download's speed

Speakeasy — Speed Test Test your internet connection speed!go to:

http://speakeasy.net/speedtest/
Speed Test — About Broadband Speed Here's some information to help you understand your results. There are a lot of things that factor into your speed test results. Download and upload speeds, backbones, networks, latency, ping times, and DNS servers.
Download
Download is a measure of how fast your connection delivers content to your computer or local area network.
Upload
Upload is the measure of how fast content is delivered from your computer or local area network to others on the Internet.
To achieve optimal delivery of T1 or SDSL services, download and upload speed should match or at least be very close. This is very important for applications like VoIP, email, on-line gaming and other interactive programs. Upload speed is even more important if you are operating an email, web or file server at your location.
Kbps
Kbps transfer rate = kilobit per second transfer rate. There are 8 bits in a byte, so we would divide kbps by 8 to get KB/sec transfer rate.
