Question about Brother CS-100-T Computerized Sewing Machine

Error F2 What does this error mean? The last time it happened I took to repair shop; they kept it for two weeks, kept giving me run around and finally just returned it to me without charge. It was working. Today, I got error F2, I opened the bobbin area and cleaned out the fuzz (I use a lot of flannel and fleece) and it worked for about 5 minutes. Now, error F2 again. This error means you have the buttonhole lever down while not sewing the buttonhole stitch. The lever is located next to the presser foot, it's white. Just push it back up. If this isn't what's going on, then your machine thinks that's what's going on and it needs to be reprogrammed.

for future reference, check the manual. If you don't have yours anymore go to retrevo.com and search brothe cs100t and register for free and download the manual

Step Motor Error...what does that mean

The stepper motor or motors control the needle position. If one is reporting an error that just unplugging the machine and leaving it off for 15 minutes won't fix, it's time for a repair shop.

Is there a code to fix a singer sewingmachine when it flashes 88

I just found your question, so I'll try to help you,
you said you just had the machine serviced and it's still
showing the error 88, is this error why you took the machine in to
be serviced for?
if it is then I suggest taking the machine back to the repair shop
and tell them it wasn't fixed correctly.
I've had other people say that they've took their machine in to be
fixed and then brought the machine home and it still had the same
problem so that means that they didn't fix the machine ..
have you tried changing the needle--needle that is correct for the
fabric being sewed
try rethreading the machine top and bobbin
also try using a different bobbin
make sure the top thread has not come off the thread take up lever
make sure the top thread is not wound around the spool pin
make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way
do you have a manual for the machine?

My Janome magnolia is 3 years old. Last week I was sewing and everything jammed, needle went to side and broke. It was trying to run but couldn't. I took bobbin out and cleaned it, oiled everything, where...

Try the process of elimination. Take out the needle, take off the needle plate, take out the bobbin case. Run the machine. Does if run full speed? You might have to let the machine run for about 5 minutes. If it runs slow or you hear it slow down, you might have a bad connecting link between the needle bar and the main shaft counter weight. They seize up sometimes. (Shop Repair).

I have a Singer 6105 and the thread is birdnesting for the second time in a few weeks. I have cleaned the bobbin area, threaded and rethreaded and changed needles. All to no avail. When this happened a few...

Double check:

Threaded with presser foot up.
Feed dogs are engaged.
Stitch length set at proper length.
Thread is feeding from the bobbin spool in the correct order and through the proper guides.

Problem still there - take the machine and a sample of the stitching back to the repair guy and ask him to check the timing.

When you pick up the machine, take a scrap of fabric and give the machine a thorough test run - threading, bobbin winding, stitching before leaving the shop.

"general disk error" message

I have had my designer series machine in to the shop twice last week for an error message. Both times the dealership cleaned the machine. I took it home for the second time only to see it doing the same error message. This machine is starting to nickel and dime me to death. WHAT DO I DO?

Needle is hitting the round , turning case that revolves around the bobbin

It sounds like your timing is off because what you're describing is exactly what happened to me last summer. I took it to a sewing machine repair shop and they repaired the problems, gave it a nice cleaning and it was like new when it came home. But it took two weeks (not a lot of repair shops around here) and that was torture as it's my only machine!!! :)

Will not run

I had the same problem with my machine, there is nothing you personally can do to fix it. You'll have to find a service tech who can work on it to solve the problem.
