Question about Spectroniq PD-1100 DVD Player

"wrong disc" I get a "wrong disc" error for every disc that I put in the player, some are discs I have played in it before and some were new out of the box. The last disc that it played was a brand new disc and it kept freezing repeatedly I cleaned the player a couple of times it did get better at first then it froze for the last time and would not even eject the disc. I had to turn the power off and back on to get the disc out after that every disc says "wrong disc".

    Can I replace the lens? If so, where do I get a replacement? If not, where do I take it to be repaired?

You have a defective lens. best way is to replace it with a new one.

Try some other discs first or try that on another player, usually if cannot read the disc either a dirty of bad Optical Pickup in the player.

When putting in dvd into dvd player it says wrong disc. what is the problem?


That means one of two things:

1. The type of disc you are inserting is not compatible with your player.

2. The file format used to burn or create the disc you are trying to play is not playable on your player.

My guess would be number two. It is the most common problem that creates the "wrong disc" error. Check your manual for your player, or go to the makers website and download a free copy. Check the file format types that are compatible with it and have the person who created the disc download conversion software and burn a new one in a file format that will play on your machine.

The reason the player keeps giving you wrong disc error is because the player is not reading the disc.

the reason is either the lens is dirty or weak.

To test if the lens is dirty, try to clean the lens with a lens cleaner and test the player DVD disc.

To fix it if the lens is weak, open the player with the appropriate screwdriver, open the disc tray, and replace the lens with a new lens, test it with a DVD disc.

Make sure you are using the right disk IE, DVD-R or DVD+R. Most Newer DVD player's will play DVD-R but very few play DVD+R

Solutions to incorrect disk error c105 & c104


Hello gjbrokke,

First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )

Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.

One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.

Random unreadable disc errors


I had the same problem but i sent it in. They said it was the eye reader error. Or the thing that reads the disc. Try buying a brand new game and try playing it. Alot of times when i have disc read errors i put the disc in where the xbox 360 part at the top goes in facing the xbox. Try that to see if it helps.

Toshiba disc error


Check formatted disc see if it's +R,-R and see if Toshiba will play homemade disk or just disc recorded in different format.
