If this is a Black and Decker, I would recommend going to their site at dewaltservicenet.com and downloading a breakdown for this tool and then if you still have a problem, get back to me with specific areas. I would also need the model number so I can give you reference items in the reassembly. Let me know.

I have one of those and I just smack the front roller ahead with a brass or plastic hammer. I hit the movable bracket that the roller is attached to. It takes a pretty stout whack to do it though. hope this helps you

SOURCE: how do you change paper

At both ends of the bottom pad, there are metal fittings that have a rectangular hole in the middle of them. Take a regular head screwdriver and put the tip in the hole and carefully but firmly lift up and hold while at the same time pushing the narrow edge of the 1/3 sheet sandpaper up under the metal piece which kind of looks like a C on its edge. Then let down the metal piece with the screwdriver and that edge of the sand paper should be held in place. Do the same thing for the other end of the sandpaper, making sure to pull the sandpaper sheet tight against the rubber pad.

How to replace sanding belt

Usually there is a lever which when released allows the two rollers to go closer together, thus releasing the tension on the belt. You can then slide the belt off the machine and put on the new one before re-tensioning using the lever. If this helps, please rate me! :)
