Cannot turn on the Air con

Hi, I got a leak on my AirCon, hence I decided to wash the air filter myself. I turn the power off (there's a switch on the AC) while taking the air filter off. Now it seems I cant turn it on, no light no sound at all. Tried to turn on both using the remote and pressing the manual auto button in the AC. I also tried to find a switch on the AC, but after removing the cover, doesn't seems like there's another switch or button that I can tweak, only manual auto button and power on off switch. Hope you guys can help me with this :(

I have a split-type aircon (brand: LG) with remote control. It has power and display when i put on batteries. but the aircon unit does not respond to the remote control. what do i do to fix this?...

Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.

Why has my emissions warning light is on ?, it came on as i was using the air con.

hi I would suggest check sensor on exhaust first ,when using the aircon drains power from engine and tries to compensate have a co test done on vehicle to check your fuel to air ratio, might be dirty air filters or worn injectors or plugs

Audi TT 225 aircon condenser slight leaking from top.

Hi Andy
As Roger said take it to an AC specialist and have it checked, it will probably need re-gassing. AC gas leaks show up as an oily substance.

My air-con is not as cold as before. I tried to lower the temperature, but when i try setting the temperature to 18 degrees, the remote just shows 18 degrees for like 5 seconds before going back to 31...

These is because you have not service your air-con for a long time. The cooling fins are clotted with dirt & dusts accumulated for a long period of time, and the water vapour caught between the cooling fins turn into ice when you set lower the temperture for the air-con. Moreover cool air from the blower/fan cannot pass thru', the cooling fins to regulate the cool air into your room.

You have to get the professionals to do a service on your air-con.

Hope it clarify your predicaments.

Air conditioning accumulator assembly dumped fluid, no prior service to system

It sounds like the accumulator has either corroded or a seal is leaking, air con pipes tend to corroded, due to being aluminum and force the seal from its' seat, best thing to do is check where the leak is from exactly, it sounds like there is a special dye in the system (hence the pool on the floor). The ultraviolet light (black light) along with special glasses can spot the leak easily. Please make sure that if you have a leak that the system is vacuumed down, to avoid poluting the atmosphere. Also if you remove pipes, make sure you replace them quicly as moisture from the air will quickly upset the system. What ever the way, you need to go to an aircon specialist to get it fixed and recharged ready for the summer heat!
Hope this helps

KELVINATOR AIR CON

More than likely it is the remote sensor in the indoor unit. Then again I presume that it is the correct remote control. Sometimes a remote for one aircon may not communicate with another aircon even if they are the same brand.
