SAVING WHAT I SCAN

WHEN I SAVE THE SCAN A MINI PICTURE OF THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT IS SAVED INSTEAD OF JUST REFERING THE DOCUMENT TO THE FOLDER OF MY SCANS. SO WHEN I WANT TO LOOK FOR A SAVED DOCUMENT I HAVE TO WADE THROUGH ALL THESE MINI PICS INSTEAD OF A LIST OF THE DOCUMENTS LIKE THE HP SCANNER WOULD ROUTE THEM TO

That doesn't happen to me.
It may be the way your computer preferences are set up rather than the scanner,

During the course of running a business or operating a home office, you might come across a hard-copy document that you wish to copy and customize to use in the future.
This can be accomplished in a matter of minutes, whether it's a professional looking invoice, fax cover sheet, or any other type of document.
There is no real technical expertise required to convert the scanned item into a reusable document.

Place the item you wish to convert in your scanner or all-in-one peripheral device.
Open the device's software interface by clicking its desktop icon.
Select "Scan" and then scan and save it as a ".doc" file or word processing file.
Open the scanned item using a word processing suite, such as Microsoft Word or Open Office. Review the scanned item to ensure all characters were properly rendered during the scan.

How to scan and send document


Place your document face down on the scanner bed. Press the button that starts the scanning process depending on your scanner or printer.

Save the scanned file to your computer by clicking "File" in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then choose "Save as." Choose the folder in which you wish to save the document from the drop-down menu in the window that popped up during the saving process. Choose a name for the document, then click "Save."


Sign on to your email account, then choose "New" or "Compose" to start a new email message. Click on "Attachments" or "Attach." Wait for a new window to pop up, then choose the file you scanned from the folder where you saved the document.

Wait a few seconds for the file to attach, compose your email message, then click "Send." Your scanned document will now be sent to the recipient's email address.

Trying to download pictures from office word and get file is not an imaghe


The pictures you saved are contained in a Win document file. You'll need to save them as picture (jpeg) files

1. Open up the document you saved the pictures in
2. Right Click on a Picture (within in document), you should get an option for "Save As Picture"
3. Save the picture in a folder that you can find later.
4. Repeat 1 - 3, for all pictures

Now Sign in to Facebook and Upload the pictures from the folder you saved them in earlier.

I don't know how to scan and save in forlder, to be able to send them through e-mail. The printer was given to me without the manuel


The printer was given without a manual because Hp has all of a sudden decided to go green.

anyway if you look on your desktop you will see and icon called the hp solution centre.

Bear in mind that you will only see this software once you have installed the software with the disc that came to you.
Place a document on the scanner glass of your printer face down.
Open the solution centre and you'll have a button called scan picture or scan document click on whichever you want and then select the type of file you want the picture or document scanned as.
once done click on the ok button and the scanning will start.
If you need to scan another picture click on finish and the folder will popup where the scanned file is saved.
If you need to scan another picture or document into the same file at the top you have an option on the scanning window saying add another page click on that, once all the pics or documents are done click on finish and the folder to where the scanned files are saved will open up.
by default the scanning path for WINDOWS XP is in my documents under the folder called my scans.
in WINDOWS VISTA AND WINDOWS 7THE SCANNING PATH IS DOCUMENTS AND THEN A FOLDER CALLED MY SCANS

My hp psc will not scan an object everything else seems to work how do i fix it


Double Click on HP Solution Center icon to open. The HP icon will be on your desktop or in your start menu. It is the icon that materializes after you use the CD to install your HP scanner or multifunction printer. (It may appear slightly different depending on the model and type of HP scanner or printer).
Place the document or photo on the glass platen in the proper corner. There is an arrow that illustrates proper placement in HP scanners and printers.
Click the settings button on the bottom of the HP Solution center screen. It appears as a wrench. This will assist in setting up your scanner or all-in-one HP printer to scan at the touch of a button. Follow the on-screen prompts for photos and documents. Then, scan by clicking the Scan Picture or Scan Document button as appropriate.
Select the proper choice once you scan, such as save to file (specify where) or email (You also can set up a folder ahead of time so you know where to find the document or photos once they are scanned). Often times the computer will create a default my scans folder and organize them by saving them by date and month scan.
Click scan and then wait for box to appear. You will see the document or photo being saved and the blue bar will display progress in the HP screen.
Save the file if the HP software has not already done this for you. Put it in a folder you create and give it a name you will remember.
Then click "Save"to finalize it. The document should be in the folder that you designated.
Repeat the process for multiple pages. Keep the HP Solution Center screen open until your scans are finished.

when you install the program ..it has a software for scanning ...open that program and press scan ...after it scans it has a folder where it saves the jobs...( inside you can just open it full and copy paste for saving) another way its to manage with a picture manager that has a import from device feature ...and act just like you importing a picture from a camera ..only that you choose the scanner when you are asked for device...

You can save the scanned data on a USB memory or a memory card by using the control panel.


IMPORTANT


- You can not use USB memory card and memory card simultaneously.


1 .Select Scan (Scan) on page HOME (HOME) and then press the OK button.

The screen where you select where the data should be saved is displayed.

2 .Turn the USB memory card direct print port or memory card into the slot.

3 .Select USB flash drive (USB flash drive) or memory card (Memory card) and then press the OK button.

4 .Select Save on USB disk (Save to USB flash). The screenshot Scan documents (Scan document) is displayed.

5. State the necessary settings and then press the OK button.

6. Place the original on the glass plate as shown on the LCD screen.

7. Press the [color] (Color) for scanning in color, or button [Black] (Black) for scanning in black and white.

When the preview is enabled, press the OK button after viewing the preview pane on the LCD screen.

The machine starts scanning and the scanned data is stored either on the USB memory card. Remove the original from the glass plate, the scan is complete.


REFERENCE

- You can only scan images continuously when you select PDF. Continue to scan the confirmation screen. You can save up to 100 pages of images in a PDF file.

- If the USB memory card or memory card becomes full while images are scanned, saved only images that are already scanned.

- You can save up to 2000 files of scanned data in both JPEG and PDF formats.

- Folder and filename of the scanned data stored on USB memory or memory card is as follows:


• Folder Name: (extensions: PDF): CANON_SC \ DOCUMENT \ 0001

• Folder Name: (File Extension: JPG): CANON_SC \ IMAGE \ 0001

• Filename: Serial number, starting from "SCN_0001"

• File dates: 01/01/2008

How do i scan a document and then email it


If you have installed the software of the printer already then you can use the hp solution center to scan a document or a picture. And make sure that you have save the picture or document. After saving it to your computer you can open your email and put the document or picture as an attachments

Microsoft Word malfunction


try this:
1. you may not have user permissions to make changes to the document:
check with the document creator or save the file with a different name so you become the new owner of the new document.
2. check if destination folder has enough room:
if not change the location of the file to be saved.
3. you may be using incorrect characters given the file name when saving the file:
don't use "/" when saving the file.
