Does anyone know where I can get a new needle plate spacer for my Babylock BMP6? My local dealer is clueless and is having trouble even understanding what I need. This is the little plastice piece that fits on the needle plate when you use the hat hoop. I would love to just order one online...any suggestions?

Does the machine go through the motions but not thread the needle or is there no motion at all? If it is the first one, the threader head needs to be replaced. If it is the second, take the machine to your local Babylock dealer for repair.....it is not easy.
I had to replace the Needle Plate on my Babylock Ellegante machine and when I turned on the machine it told me to Turn off power and replace the Needle Plate. which I had already done. How do I fix that so I can sew. thanks Jan email@example.com
Perhaps the needle is not fully pushed in or not tight in the holder or has the needle plate moved and the needle is now hitting it? A bent needle will break as it hits the plate but apart from that I cannot imagine what is causing this.
Have you reset the tensions for this machine, look in your manual and follow directions. If this is an Elegante there is also a set of instructions on the machine. On the LCD screen there is a picture of a sewing machine with a question mark, touch it, find Troubleshooting and touch that then find the problem you are having and read. If this does not help take it to a Brother dealer and have it reset so as to keep you machine in good running order.
Have you looked at your manual or bought the more expensive book from your dealer? I have found my book for my Evolve a VERY good investment (70 bucks, but worth every penny these past 2 years!) Baby Lock have very good cust. service either on the web or right at your dealer. Most dealers will give free lessons upon request. I hope this helped
Not if you just want to get the patterns off the internet, etc., you cannot, or at least with my older version, make your own designs. You need to download the program to your computer. Its pretty simple if you get on the internet and download the designs put your palette on your computer, go to the designs, with a blank card, and load the patterns. Hope this makes sense.
You might want to try this solution first, although maybe your dealer has already tried it. With your machine off, hold the start/stop button, the reverse button and the needle position button down with one hand. While holding them, turn the machine on. What will come up is a screen to recalibrate your LCD. You won't need the first screen, so press the thread cutting button one time. The next screen changes the brightness level. The reverse button on your machine makes it darker, and the needle position button makes it lighter. I stumbled upon this by accident one day while recalibrating. I'd like to know if this works for you, although by now, maybe you have bought a new screen...
