SOURCE: fisher turntable mt 6410 removal

Look at spindle bearing in center of t-table. There is probably a small ring lock there holding the table. Use a pick or small screw driver to carefully remove this ring.

Do I need to connect my older Fisher Turntable to a pre-amp before connecting to my Yamaha RX-V850?

No, you don't need a preamp if your turntable has a moving-magnet (MM) cartridge, it should work as-is! Happy vinyling =]

Most likely the grease in the whole system has started to stiffen or the motor is failing. This can be fixed. Try oiling the motor first. If that fails, I'd look at the motor driver IC as the most likely failing part.

How do I replace the belt on a mt-6410 turntable

Just lift the platter off the turntable, and you'll see where the belt goes. You'll see a metal spindle/motor - this is where the belt wraps around. Then you will have to wrap around your turntable platter. This is a little tricky, but you should be able to figure it out.
