Why do you need to change to fat 32, what filesystem do you have in place? There is a selection of applications that come with a Western Digital external drive, they are usually on the drive. If you have formatted the drive you may have deleted them. You can probably download them from the Western Digital site.Hope this helpsregards

I got a message sayin hard disk's file system is corrupted

Hi snaithy23,

Try reformatting your hardrive again to a FAT32 format. To do so, when your ps3 console is turned off remove the hard-drive and connect it to a PC. Then use this software: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm to format it to a FAT32 format and after that connect it back into the PS3.

Warning: This will result in the loss of all data on your hard-drive but it's the only chance of using that hard-drive again.

Hope this helped!

The hard disk's file system is corrupted and will be restored. It restores but when the playstation restarts it says it again and restores again. Then it all happens again.

I just split my HD and formatted Dr C:\ to fat32, D:\ would not

You cannot convert from NTFS to FAT32 unless you use say Partition Magic or other disk util.
If you have nothing in that partition then reformat it to FAT32 by right clicking on it and selecting > format> then select FAT32

Sounds like the Hard drive inside is nearing the end of its life. The best way to get your files off it is to remove the hard drive from the external case and install it directly into your computer tower (or get someone who is computer savy to do it).Once in your computer you have a much better chance of recovering your files and even fixing the drive for future use.

Sandisk flash drive not working

what windows OS are you using. Most flash drives are not recognized by anything under NTFS. so an updated fat32 windows 98 to win xp has a 50/50 chance of seeing the usb device.

cruiser supports win98 but I don't know of any other.
