Maybe because you have a truble on your camera,,maybe you have a bad lens or somestimes called lens error, Lens errors (system errors) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:thanks and good luck

Hi,

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

New VQ124 camera will not take a picture

Look under the menu's of your camera, something may be blocking it. Try hooking up your SD card to your computer, and reformatting it. This can be done from your camera too.

SD Card Reader

1. Turn on your computer and put the SD card into the card reader slot on the front of your computer or the external card reader attached to a USB port. Wait to see if your operating system automatically opens a window prompting you for information. Click on the option to "Open a folder to view files" if the window pops up.

2. Click on the "Start" button if your operating system does not automatically prompt you to open a folder. Choose the "My Computer" option to bring up a new window.

3. Right-click on the drive bay for your card reader, and then choose the option that says "Reformat" from the pop-up menu. Click on the option to set the formatting to "FAT16" if you receive a separate pop up window asking you which file system to set the card to.

Protection card

Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

My VistaQuest VQ DV800HD camcorder's close up pictures are blury.

What's your definition of "close up"?
Sorry to say its a very cheap camera. It will not focus on anything under 3 feet. It's called a fixed focal camera. Anything beyond 3 feet should be fine.
