Hi
Is this the camera memory or the SD memory card. You can opt to transfer some of your pictures to a secondary storage device probably a computer.
To delete, just scroll the picture, select on options and then delete.
Or just replace the SD card and store the full one.

Download the manual from the link below,

SOURCE: i have a pentax optio 50l and when i turn on the

Usually "lens error" means that the lens can't be telescoped out, and it's not a good sign. You'll probably need to send the unit to tech repair.

If the unit does not make any noise at all, it could just be a loose motor connector (but it could just as well be a fritzed motherboard or a dead coil in the motor - which would require a unit replacement).

It could also mean that the internal electronics got stunned or the battery pack hasn't enough juice. So, before trying anything else, get a fully powered battery pack (or external power supply) and retry after leaving the camera "cold" with no battery for a couple of minutes.

If possible, try getting a battery with a slight overvoltage (e.g., replace rechargeable batteries with nonrechargeable ones, just this once).

If there is a grinding noise reminding of plastic cobs snapping together, that's probably exactly what it sounds like - the drive train of the lens broke, and again you'll have to get it replaced.

A very short grinding noise, immediately aborted, could mean you get incredibly lucky - there's a grain of sand or something like that in the telescope, and is wedged hard enough to immediately stop operations before the drive train gets damaged. Try looking with a strong light between the "rings" that make up the telescoping lens, and inspect the outside of the rings (if possible) for scratches. If the obstacle is visible you might be able to dislodge it with a hard plastic sheet (those used in OHP) used edgewise. Also try blowing air in the ring gaps.

You could also try to "help" the drive train by GENTLY pulling on the lens and pressing the power button, or keep the shutter button pressed while powering on (this should run the autofocus retraining and lens extension together).

This happened to me often on Casio cameras which are really good, but have the "rings" not packed close together enough, so that unless you keep them with great care, dirt will find a way to wedge in.

SOURCE: optio 50L EAT A LOT OF BATTERIES

It appears that you are using you the camera more often therefore the batteries are getting discharged OR your batteries are old which have out lived their life.
The best solution in this case is buy a battery charger with spare rechargeable batteries and keep them charged all the time. This way you can cut the cost on batteries.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as the free Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
