Are you talking about just the audio coming from cd's and ipod? If so, are you using an amplifier? If you are using an external amplifier, you may be using the blue wire (power antenna remoter turn on) instead of the blue/white wire ( amp remote turn on) to turn the amp on. The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning off the amplifier.

SOURCE: radio has sound but not the CD player or iPod

Your amp is not turning on - what you should do is connect the "blue/white - remote turn-on lead" to whatever wire you have the "blue - power antenna" output from the Alpine connected to now. That should solve your problem.

I've got the same problem too. Have you managed to solve it?
I've tried to reinitialize the stereo by pressing the the pin button but that didn't have any effect.

SOURCE: Replaced the battery & now the radio/cd player

Your radio will need a code to reactive it because the power has been lost.

You need to post up the serial and part number of the radio - found on a label at the back so you will need to remove the radio from the dash to find this.

Make and model of radio and car also required. Then we can advise further.

Thanks for using fixYa.

JVC car audio cd receiver model # KDR-310 will not stay powered up. Shuts down after 2 seconds. What's wrong??

hi marnie, if all the power and speaker cables are connected correctly, then you might have a faulty or shorted speaker in the vehicle.your unit is sensing a fault condition. check the impedance of eack speaker connected to the unit from the harness plug. if this does not help then your unit needs to be bench tested.

Can i connect my ipod to this radio if so how???

You can connect your IPOD in this radio. All you need is an Apple Composite AV Cable part# MB129LL/A. It's about $50 online. Once you have that cable, you can connect it to the AUX Input jack in front of your radio and then you can play your tracks from your IPOD.

I have purchased a car with a JVC KD-R206 Car CD Tuner fitted but have no owners manual. Could you assist please?

http://books.jvc.com/booklist.asp?Model=KDR
Here's the link to JVC's customer support page for KDR receivers the closest I saw was the 200 and the 208. Most Manufacturer's will make several different model #'s of the same radio depending on where it's sold. Open the pdf's and see which one looks like your's. it may even be listed on the pdf front page. Hope this helps

Ipod not working on a JVC KD331 cd/radio car player

Check your stereo for a button that says "Aux" or a "Function" button. It could also say something else depending on the radio. The one in my 93' Mustang says "Band" and in my truck it simply says "iPod" Just mess around a little bit and see what you find.

I have a jvc kd-g720 stereo in my car and when I plug my iPod into the usb port it says "do not disconnect" and even though i have about 2,000 songs on my iPod the stereo will only play the same 49 ones in...

if you are plugging your ipod into the usb port of the kd-g720 it won't play all your songs because this particular radio only plays mp3s through the usb port. ipods play both mp3s and mp4s. so those 49 songs you're hearing are the mp3s on your ipod. in order to play all the songs on your ipod you must buy the cord that plugs in the back of the radio that will connect to your ipod. sorry for the bad news man. i had the same thing happen to me.
