How to open PDF or Adobe PDF attachment on the web

if you would like to read PDF documents, you should have download and install Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader on your PC or Mac.
Free download the Adobe Reader 9 at http://get.adobe.com/br/reader/

however, you can still fail in viewing PDF documents, if you do the incorrect settings for Adobe Reader or Computer. follow the below guide to check out the possible reason and clear it up.

1: Restart your PC or Mac and reopen the PDF file.
Sometimes, it can solve some common problem.

2.Try to open your local PDF file in web browser
In your web browser, choose File-open File, then select your PDF from hard drive, click Open.

If the PDF document can't be well displayed on the web, but it can well readable with Adobe Reader, the problem results in the web server. Contact the webmaster to find the solution.

Cant open pdf

Make sure only adobe 9 is the only version of adobe reader you have installed on that computer. Then go to where your PDF file is and right click on it with the mouse and go into properties.

In the general tab where it says type of file it will show you what program is opening up the PDF file. Click on the change button and where it says recommended programs see if Adobe reader is there, if its not then down below where it says other programs click on the down arrow and see if adobe reader shows up there. If it shows up in either section then choose it, then click on apply, and then click on okay.

Now if for some reason adobe reader doesn't show up in either section, then you'll need to browse for it. It normally installs itself in the program files folder, then double-click on it and go into the adobe folder, Adobe 9.0 and then the reader folder. The name of the reader program looks something like acrord32 and it will say application to the right of it. At that point choose it and apply the changes so it opens up with Adobe reader.

This should cover everything, if your still having problems, let me know and I'll help you out further.

I cannot read the words

What version is the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer? If it is version 9 and you are trying to see the user guide from within a browser window (like Internet Explorer), you will have problems because of a known issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader2_bing.gif 9. If the above is true, you will need to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 and install Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.1.3
(Click Here) to download for version 8.1.3. If you are unsure how to uninstall version 9 and install version 8.1.3, please post a response to this an I will give you details based on your operating system.

In order to read a .pdf file, you will need a program enabled to open and read it. The most likely and FREE version is Adobe Reader which can be downloaded and installed by going to the Adobe site...

http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO

Be sure to UNCHECK the box above the download button that says "Free McAfee Security Scan (optional)"

You may need to remove the Adobe 9 program, download the program again (there was a recent upgrade), and reinstall it. That should override any previous settings.

Can't download pdf file in yahoo mail even after installing adobe

Hello.

Seems that for some reson pdf files are assigned to your microsoft paint instead of acrobat reader.

Try this....

Find an already existing pdf file somewhere on your computer and right click on it and chose properties,
A box will come up where you now click the button that reads "Change".

A list of programs will appear where you now chose acrobat reader.

That should do it.

I had adobe 8.1 aND SUCCESSIVELy unistalled it from my laptop but cant install adobe 9 why?

If you are only using Adobe Acrocrap reader do your self a favour and bin the bloated piece of intrusive rubbish.
Use Foxit pdf reader instead.

Foxit reader = download 2.5mb, unpacked and installed 5.5mb
Acrocrap reader = download only 33mb, unpacked and installed (lord knows, probably huge)

You can get foxit for free here:
