SOURCE: Coffee will no longer grind.

ONE COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS MACHINES, SINCE THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA, THE QUALITY OF THE BEARINGS DETERIORATE IN ABOUT EXACTLY ONE YEAR. AND THE GRINDER NO LONGER WORKS. THE BEARING BUSHING ITS MADE OF BRASS, AND THE LOAD OF THE COFFEE BEANS OVER KILL THE BEARING. ITS A RIP-OFF....

SOURCE: blade replacemen braun grinder

Insert a small standard screwdriver in the slot in the center of the bottom. Turn the blade slowly until you feel the screwdriver catch in the slot. This holds the motor still so you can simply unscrew the blade counter-clockwise. Do the same to hold the motor from turning while you screw the new blade on clockwise.

Have you tried to hoover up the grinds from time to time, from the grinder blades. The coffee beans and ground can gather under the blades from over time. It should not be a problem though.
For better crema you may want to replace the blades. You should replace every 3-6 years. Rancilio Rocky Grinder Flat blades

Motor for grinder is functioning but the blades are not cutting or rotating.

Hi
You need to replace the grinder. It has probably exploded inside. Sorry, they are usually very dependable grinders. I have a new 1 if you want to replace it.

Source for replacement blade for CBG5 B&D Coffee Grinder

Unable to find any parts supplier who offered a replacement blade for the CBG5 SmartGrind Coffee grinder, the broken plastic center spindle was reconstructed around the attachment nut, and an epoxy cement was poured around the nut and over the center of the blade.
This solution has worked in testing the blade on the grinder, but how long it will hold up has not yet been determined.

Don't know how to use Mr.Coffee IDS57 coffee grinder

Typically you load in the beans, replace the cover and then either press down on the entire cover or the black knob on the front of the cover. I would hold the lid down with your other hand just to be safe. Grind for about 4-6 seconds depending on how strong you like your coffee (the longer you grind the finer the coffee will be...this means STRONGER)

This is most likely a thermo overload, and can be replaced, make sure that there is no short circut before replacing it, as it will only blow again if there is a short. This part can be purchased at any Radio Shack store.
