1 Answer

My heater will not lite

I just moved in this house and I am trying to turn on the heater for the 1st time. It said on the lable that is was a GPD8 75-3 REV. It blinks 1 time after trying to start. I made sure that the tube to the roof was clean. I see no flames, it said it does not have a pilot light. What do I do? Thanks

Check to make sure the gas is on to the house, and the furnace.

Green house heater 150,000 btu, changed tanks and supplier, replaced plugged pilot light, new thermostat. Heater comes on but makes horrible howling noise when burners light, experienced a small explosion...

The first thing I would do is have gas pressure checked, check pressure on the outlet side of regulator. Your gas supplier should do this for you for free or for minimum charge. It sounds to me like you have high pressure problem. I hope this helps. Thanks

Heater not working

The pilot stays Lit Correct? After lighting the pilot did you turn the gas knob to on postition?

-Turn Unit off and then turn thermostat all the way up.
Turn power back on and hopefully unit starts, if not.

-Turn unit off, disconnect thermostat wire and put a jumper wire between r and w. Turn Unit back on
hopefully it will start-if not.

You either dont have power to the unit or it is being
held out by a safety switch. A flame rollout switch
located near the burners could be tripped

Cannot screw in plugs on side of Laars Lite 2 Pool Heater

I just had the exact problem. Went to a plumbing supply house and got a 1/4"NPT pipe tap for about $10 and a 1/4" brass pipe plug. Put some oil on the tap and very carefully clear the threads by threading it into the hole. Make sure it is straight and engaged with the threads. Once started run it in by hand until it stops and then get a small wrench and turn it about a half turn and then back a quarter turn for a couple of full turns and then remove. Inset the new brass plug

This did the trick for me, good luck.

Laars Lite heater not working

1st time this happened to me the filter wasn't clean. 2nd time it was the pressure switch and for the third time they say I have to bleed the gas line, not enough gas to lite. And I also need the on/off switch gone bad.
