Your hard drive may be toast, but then again it may just be loose.
If you understand electronics (and how to discharge static) check the connection to the hard drive & tighten if needed. Remove & reinsert if a laptop.
Otherwise, take it to a shop to have it checked. Sometimes a hdd that wont boot, will give up it's information, but you should ALWAYS get a quote first. Data recovery can run from ~$65/hr to thousands.
