I am providing you with some links one has details of connecting internal speaker to the motherboard, other has complete product guide.
Following link is for complete Product Guide http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15630/eng/DG35EC_ProductGuide01_English.pdf
If you want to connect external speakers you may connect them by plugging the green connetor of the speakers to the green jack / slot which is at the rear / front end of the system. Just look of Green female slot on the system.
On the left side column, where you see Bookmarks, Select Installing and Replacing Desktop Board Components then select Connecting to the Onboard Audio Systems.
You will complete details here on this link.

SOURCE: P5KPL-AM speaker beep

Hello, I am the technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.

Welcome to Fixya, Sadael.

Yes some-times the case/computer chassis does not have an internal BIOS/CMOS beep code speaker built in.

So what you will need to do is go to your local computer store and purchase a mainboard beep code speaker. You may even find it online at your favorite computer store.

The modern speaker is very small compared to the older mainboard beep code speakers.

Your computer will continue to work without the speaker, the beep code speaker is there to help diagnose/troubleshoot problems when they occur.

Take care!

How to & where to connect Power led + - /power sw/reset sw/HDD led

Get the user manual here: User Guide
Chapter 2 Page 17.
The plugs just fit on to little pins in the bottom corner of the board.

If you connect them and hard drive indicator light on the front of the case does not come on then you need to swap the 2 connectors around.
It's an led which has to be connected the correct way to work.
Same goes for the power led on the front of the case.

Hey, I've got an HP Compaq D530 SFF desktop machine whose sound card uses the SoundMAX drivers. The problem is that when I connect earphones/headphones on the front panel, and try to listen to music or...

moz-screenshot.pngmoz-screenshot-1.pngYour front panel audio / microphone connector has an AC97 connector inside which looks like this:

It is probably plugged into the motherboard somewhere. Try plugging it into the soundcard directly if it is in the motherboard. Or vice versa if it is plugged into the soundcard.

I NEED DRAWING FOR THE FRONT PANEL CONNECTION

Download the manual for you're MSI PM8M-V motherboard from MSI; http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=searchresult&keywords=PM8M-V&table=download
You will need to download and install Adobe reader to view the manual. Download Adobe; http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/
Open manual to page 9. See Front Panel Connectors: JFP1 & JFP2. There is no need to connect JFP2's Power LED jumper, this is completed at JFP1. Each wire jumper coming from the case will have one wire color in common with all connectors except the speaker jumper. That common colored wire will be use as negative.
The speaker wire commonly as red is positive and black is negative.

Cheers'
