Problem I have had the telivision for over a year, and this is the first time that this has occurred. I noticed that the remote sensor window was not turned on, and the DC adapter light was also off. I proceded to unplug the power cord, and plug it back in. The telivision turned on, but 2-3 minutes later it shut completey off. I tried to make sure that all the wiring were correct and nothing was loose, but it keeps on happening. In order to turn the telivision back on, you must "ruboot". Meaning unplug the telivision from the main socket. It turns on and about 2-3 minutes it shuts it self of. What should I do? Thank you. Respectfully submitted Hector

You have a failed circuit board there somewhere, maybe the power supply.

SOURCE: Protron 42

on the back of the TV where the power cord plugs into the back of the tv there is a small black on/off switch- it's not as obvious as you would think.... but that was turned off. Not sure how that happened since the back of the Tv was never touched when it went dead- but I unplugged the cord from the back of the tv and from the outlet and reset that switch and it worked.

SOURCE: TV wil not turn on at all

My Protron PLTV - 3250 just went out yesterday. By this I mean it turned on and went out in a few minutes. I left it off and today it completely died. I opened it up because I always think I can repair things. So what I found is a burn mark on the curcuit board of the power supply which is located inside the tv. On the other side of the burn mark is a (zener diode), this diode is burned out and therefore the power supply is not working. I am going to Radio Shack tomorrow Monday Aug. 31, 2009. The diode is very tiny but should be easy to replace with a sauder gun because this diode has place holders to hold the tiny diode in. If this does not work at the top of this page is a link that says power supplies for your tv for sale. I am going to check it out. Anyway just so you all who know about computers= the tv power supply is similar to the power supply on a computer. Just like a computer power supply comes in a case that you install into your computer and then you just connect the connectors to your motherboard and drives. Well in the tv the power supply is stand alone also, you can disconnect the wire connections in the tv and replace the power supply. If you notice the power cable to your tv is the same as a computer power cable, so the power supply in the tv is much the same as a computer power supply. I hope this helps you.

Comments: Aug 31, 2009- Hey the link TODDTHETVMD is posting has a picture of the Protron PLTV - 3250 power supply. It looks exactly like that in my tv. Buy it. All you have to do is remove screws and and cables and put them back and you are all good to go. It is as easy as replacing parts and components in your computer. Thanks TODDTHETVMD.

However, the remote controller signal receiving sound is changed from one "beep" to four "beep" sounds.

Can i connect z5600 to my telivision

Hi Stephen,

You should be able to connect this to your television quite easily ,
there should be a port on the side or back of the screen that has 15pins and is blue this is the VGA, DSUB connector.

you will need a VGA cable which can be bought quite cheaply from ebay connect it to this port and to the same port in the back of your tv.

you can also use Svideo connection which is the circular one , once connector go to display properties and choose display and connect to remote display or something similar on different versions of windows.

hope this helps . allways here to help.

I have Onida TV Model 21 inch , I accidentally enable the features of volume lock, hotel mode and channel lock and I cannot reset the same. Due to this, I cannot increase volume of telivision

MIGHT WORK IF YOU:
Turn off tv with remote, that is standby, then turn off tv with switch or unplug from wall. Wait a few minutes until led lights go off on tv. plug tv back in. try pushing vt on remote and power button on tv at same time.
If this doesn't work try contacting a local retailer, they always have a list of codes for their salesmen.

Scepter X32 LCD High Definition telivision. Just

Yes it's dead; the power supply in these tvs do not have much stamina;
Due to the fact that their are no provisions for removal of heat. TV does not
have enough fans because customers don't like the noise and, the power supply surge caused by turning a cold set on and, off is not addressed by the manufacturer.
That is why the sets have only one a year warranty.
The choice you have is: repair the power supply or, replace the power supply
unless your set is under warranty.

My lg 42pc5d tv remote sensor quit working. I am

Check on the back of the TV to see if you have a "remote in" port. It will look the same as a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unplug the TV and plug a pair of headphone into the port and then remove it. Do this several times to breakup any debris that may have gotten into it or corrosion that may have occurred in the port. If something is in the port it will disable the standard remote sensor on the TV.

TV automatically switches to channel 666.

Sounds like a bit of a devil(lol),could be interferance from a device causing this problem, have you got a flourecent light in the room, this is known to interfere with the tv's remote sensor, also try taking the batteries out of the remote???
Failing this it could be a fault in the tv,an i.c. has become corrupted and will need software to be re-installed but this is the worst case scinario.
