Question about Boston Acoustics Horizon Solo Clock Radio

Open Question

Alarm volume gets too high

My Solo II radio alarm volume gets always louder than what the volume was when alarm was set and radio switched off. In the manual it says : "please note that the last source and volume level settings will be used for the alarm". This is definitely not the case. Plus, if I adjust the volume the snooze function comes off. It comes off if you do anything other than touch the rim.. How to fix these problems?

How do I decrease the volume in the alarm system the radio). It always returns to 5, and that's a little high for me?

Listen to the radio, and when it is the right level, set the alarm. The volume controls both.

If it continues to change on its own, pull the back up battery, unplug it, count to 10 and then plug it back in and connect the back up battery. Then reset the time and the volume.

To perform a "soft reset"(all settings are erased)
Unplug radio
Hold alarm 1 button and plug in radio
Keep holding alarm 1 button until 3 numbers appear.
Release alarm 1 button and unplug radio.
Plug radio in and all will operate normally

How do I change radio volume on the alarm?

This clock is supposed to have an automatically "increasing" volume feature (starts off low, gets louder over a minute or so).

If not sufficient, look on the top right side of the clock, there should be an up/down volume control. It is a black oval-shaped button with a picture of a sound speaker in the middle. Push it upward to increase volume and downward to decrease volume. Unfortunately, you have to have a flashlight or light on to see it because none of the controls are illuminated.
