Question about Nokia 3230 Cellular Phone
I bought my Nokia 3230 about 4 months ago on a visit to Ukraine. I came back from Ukraine (to Canada) 2 months ago....The phone has been dead for 2 months now. Shortly after I came, when I tried to turn it on..I would only see a white flash (3 secs or so) on the screen (happens before it starts up), but there was no startup....Curious thing was if I pressed the "turn on" button, and while the screen was still white, plugged it in to charge...It would stay white for as long as it was plugged in. When I plugged it out, it dissapeared. Now it's totally dead....It doesn't even react to the "turn on" button....If anyone knows what the problem with it is, I'd really like to know...I've grown to like the phone and would not like to throw it away.
Would you happen to know the problem?
Thanks for your future help =),

SOURCE: Nokia 3220 just dead....
had this unit before and never had a problem, a friend of mine is using it now, the fone is more than 2 years old and still going. With regards to your problem, a software reflash would be the first option

hi there i have had that problem once, and i'v solved it.
for the heating of the battery and no lights, no display, no signal its all for the flex(ribbon) problem all i did was remove again the flex and clean the contacts sometimes it shorts i just re-solder the contacts of the flex. because some of parts that we bought is not 100% ok. just try it again maybe you'll make it.

SOURCE: Won't turn on
You should take the phone to a mobile service center and have them try to revive your dead board but i think you may need to purchase a new mainboard or new phone.
