Samsung n 210 screen becomes unreadable

The netbook is 2 years old but not used intensively. From time to time it becomes impossible to read on the screen. The contrast has nearly disappeared. Then it comes back, but I worry if this will become permanent.

Les screen becomes grey, it's hardly possible to read its content. I suspected the batteries but the charge was 85 %. Then it came back but it could reappear.

These screens have a fluorescent light behind them. If that light is flaky, the screen will go dark. I'd suggest checking that. They usually can be replaced--but carefully.

Heating Problem

When I'm running a processor intensive program, like Adobe Photoshop, my Laptop will become very warm too. But now I'm working only with fixya, all evening, it won't get warm enough to warm my lap. So the more you ask from the processor, the more heat it will produce.
This said, it won't hurt if you try to clean the fan's from your netbook. If the netbook has one or more. The safest way is to blow in canned air. (Duster). But if you are handy, open the thing and clean the fan(s) with a brush and blow the dust away.

I have a HP mini 210 notebook. Its 2 years old. Its will not turn on. Nothing but three flashes of an orange light by the power cable. is it the battery?

either one of your memory sticks has gone bad or has become dislodged, if you flip the machine over, there is a panel, unscrew the one or two screws holding the panel on. check and make sure both memory modules are secure and in place, if they are remove one, plug the machine in and try and turn it on. if it won't go, take out the other one and put the original back in, and then try again. with any luck it will boot with one of them removed and then you found your culprit. you can replace memory for fairly cheap check www.crucial.com, newegg.com, or ebay

HP 210 mini. No back light on screen. If I aim a light at the screen I can see an image. Connected to an external monitor works fine. I changed to a new mother board same problem. Is it the cable?

It is possible that it is the cable, but it is far more likely that the backlight in the screen is out. Obviously, with how new the laptop is, this is likely a manufacturing defect. If the laptop is under a year old or covered by an extended plan through a vendor, I'd recommend taking it to them or calling HP. If not, replacing the backlight on a laptop is typically expensive enough that it makes more sense just to replace the Netbook.

Computer games hestitate frequently.

This is due to using outdated hardware. Its not necessarily any one thing. Sure, more RAM and a new video card (even an upgraded processor if possible with your main board) will help. But if your computer is 5 years old, you need a new one for gaming purposes.

I've seen your problem countless times, and if you don't have an upgradeable computer, or its a name brand pc, you will need a newer one.

The reason it seems to get worse, is that #1, your hardware just gets older as time goes on, and #2, games become more sophisticated, resource intensive, and have higher system requirements.

Your computer can no doubt handle a lot of things without issue, but games, anything video intensive, or that require a high % of RAM, processor usage, or video usage are going to give you problems.

I have a Samsung CRT slimfit that I bought in 2006. It has worked splendidly until about 4 months ago and suddenly I have started to notice the edges of the screen about 2-3 inches on both sides have...

In my experience from doing Samsung's warranty work on slimfit sets, they have issues with picture tubes causing problems on the circuit boards. Many times I would replace a board only to have it fail a short time later. The wide crt draws a large amount of current and many have purity (discoloration around edges) problems. I would suggest you try contacting samsung to see if any recall exhists on these and if that doesn't work I wish you luck having it repaired properly for under 275.00
