Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

My Premiums Lauren I noticed I have accumulated $18 in premium fees. Here's what I like you to do with them:Keep them or distribute them as you see fit. I joined this site to help consumers and would much rather see the problems addressed which I have pointed out to you in previous questions than collect my premiums. My goal is a satisfied and educated customer. Sincerely, mistersony Andrew

How do I set up automatic bank withdrawal for my monthly premiums

This is usually done by contacting the organisation to which you pay premiums (not the bank) and completing their direct debit authority, which they then set up with the bank's data process office.

The difference between Term Life Insurance and Whole Life insurance

The main difference between Term Life Insurance and Whole life insurance lies in what happens to the money.

In Term Life Insurance, you pay the monthly or yearly fee. If you die when the policy is active and paid, then your family will be covered and receive the amount which you have insured. If you don't die before the policy expires, you (or your family) receive nothing.
The premiums are lower than Whole Life Insurance but they change as you age.

Whole Life Insurance (AKA Cash-Value Insurance) has both insurance policy and Investment account.

The premiums are higher than Term Life Insurance but they are fixed (you pay the same premium even when you age). If you die, your family receives the death benefit but you can also cash the money when you are older or retired.
How to earn/get money on/from fixya

In order to earn money on FixYa, you must become a Premium Expert. For information on how to apply, please view this Tip.

Once you have been approved as a Premium Expert, you will notice some changes on your My Expertisepage. First, there will be a banner regarding your preferred method of payment. Click on this banner and select how you would like to be paid. There will also be a module on the upper right of your My Expertise page called My Live Chat Status, as well as a link to your Account Statements.

Answering Chats
If you would like to do a Live Chat, where you assist the customer using an IM system, check the "Available" option on your My Live Chat Status module. Then, as long as you are on FixYa, you will receive a pop up to alert you to any available Chats in your Areas of Expertise. Please make sure you have enough time to do a Chat (up to an hour or more) and that you only assist one customer at a time.

Answering Premium Questions
Premiums can be found at the top of your My Expertise page with buttons marked $3, $4, and $6. Please view this Tip to see more info about Premiums.

Keeping track of your earnings

If your Premium Solution or Live Chat Assistance is "Accepted" by the customer, you will be credited the amount on the button (for Premiums) or between $6-$10 (for Live Chats). You can keep track of all the Premiums/Live Chats you have done by clicking on "Account Statements" (also referred to as your Ledger). One note about that- if something older than 7 days is still marked as Pending, then it has Auto Closed and another Expert received credit.

Getting paid
At the end of each month, FixYa audits Experts' accounts. If you have earned $50 or more, your account begins processing. For more info about FixYa's payment policies and schedule, please view the Experts' FAQ section on payments.

Feel free to email me if you have any general questions about FixYa's payment policies.

For any specific inquiries regarding your earnings, please email
Thank you.Srajan chaurasia.

Money, Money, Money

There is no pecking order on who gets what and when. Its a free for all, called Crowd Sourcing. Today has been a rather busy day for Chats and Premiums.

Live Chats are notified by the Expert Utility and you only get an offer when one arrives in your area of expertise. By broadening your area of expertise you may get more offers.

From where I sit on the Internet Trunk I'm never lucky at this and just work some premiums from time to time. And, those, who gets win sometimes makes no sense at all.

Some experts here make several hundred dollars a month and mostly it averages near one hundred. You have to have 50 solutions offerred and have five votes before you will get a chat offer or see a live premium. Since you are seeing premiums than you are qualified to get chats. I would reexamine your selecte areas of expertise in your profile and see if you can't broaden it out a bit. For example, if you live long enough and are the fix it type you've probably fixed your share of vacuum cleaners... an area I've made money on a lot. And that goes for coffee makers and toaster ovens, etc.

The heavy money comes on the more challenging computer and network issues and cars. Cars is a real money maker for people like Toyota Ed who has been doing this forever.

Most of us here are not in it for the money, frankly. The work I do on FixYa just keep me fresh and on top of issues I run into in my business and help me immensly in servicing my clients for effectively.

Before you do hang it up out of frustration, and I remember my own expectations and the realities, I would suggest you email lauren@ and ask her the same question.

Hope that helps you understand things a bit more.

You deserve this dough..

Oh, in that you are now Solution number one? Frankly, that response from me was a bit tongue in cheek. I emailed the link to Lauren and asked her to look the question over as its a pretty grey area of help.

I wanted the people to work it out, actually. Lauren said she didn't see any thing wrong with it although it was rather unusual. I'm not quoting her, that's my best recollection.

Why do people like this come to a place like this. It remains unanswered so perhaps they did find a neighborly solution.

If you get the money, well these things sort of work themselves out as witness by the payment I received for echoing Ginkos solution for the guy who was rather rude to us all.

Glad to see you back by the way. Always wondered if you would return. I knew your handle now and your voice sounded familiar, I just couldn't place it. We had another return, this one a real 'nut case', had to call him out in the forum to get him to go away.

well, as you now sent me a request, I got a email message saying that I have a request.

Dear Ekse,

turbohead has posted a request for you.

The FixYa Team

But basically there is no questions that you 'have' to answer, its all up to you what you answer to.

you need to earn the rank of a wiz / guru and have atleast 30 solutions to start seeing the premium problem which you can get paid from.

the amount of car premiums is expanding so new car experts are welcome. as long as you know your stuff.

Its a shame cars arent my expertice atleast a hundred $$$ gone by in car premiums in the last few days.

The premiums will be shown above the original problems. also if you let requests sit on your list and don't answer to them in 1 day, they will be stuck there and cant be removed ( got many of those stuck there..)
