Remove the top panel, there should only be 2 or 3 screws on the back of the panel, then slide the top panel back about 1/4 inch and it should lift off. Look to see if the belt has come off. Post your results back.

I think the control board is at fault

This is probably normal operation , you can press the start/pause and cancel button at the same time to see if you have a error , if you get E00 this means no error if you get a E21 (example) then look and see what that error is

Power off by removing the plug off the set for some time. Now reset and see if the program resets. If not check if the program controller is activated to re-run a short drying mode. Let the mode end and see if the door opens. If not there is a fault in the lock , latching or unlocking from the program controller in end program.
