Refrigerator has developed a low buzz or hum. Do I need to be concerned?

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, LFHT1817LW1, is buzzing or humming. With modern, high efficiency compressors you may hear a high pitched humming or pulsating sound. Additionally, if you have an icemaker equipped inside of your refrigerator the water valve may produce a buzzing noise as the valve opens to fill the icemaker with water. I hope this has been helpful. -Matt

Gallery Washer will not drain..

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire Gallery washer will not drain. I see that you have a buzzing sound on the selector but there is no reaction from the pump. I suggest resetting your appliance, be either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power keep and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is needed, please leave me your model number. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

How to defost inside shelfs

The best way to defrost is to empty it, unplug it, prop open the doors, and put a fan blowing on it. This could take a day or more. If this has been pretty bad for a long time you might have wet (and frozen) insulation (inside the walls of the freezer where you cannot see it). If so, you should give it an extra day or two to drip out. You might also have a bad or dirty seal around the door. Clean this thoroughly, and inspect it closely to make sure it seals well. Good luck.

It will not stop buzzing

No matter what you try the buzzing will not shut off? The only way to get it off is to unplug it? Otherwise it will go forever?
Oh and what is the model Frigidaire is it?

Power in house went out for 6 hours now the coil is cooling but fan not running

Your defost timer control board may have burned out from the power surge.I think they are electronic defrost on there models. If not you may need a compressor relay kit.Yuo can get the parts using your model # at your local appliance parts store.

Frididaire refridgerator frs26hf5aw5 is not cooling. Both fans are working but compressor is not turning on.

IF THE COMPRESSOR IS HOT AND CLICKING ON AND OFF MOST OF THE TIME IT IS BAD, IT IS POSABLE THAT YOU HAVE A RELAY/OVERLOAD OUT AS WELL THATS CONECTED TO THE COMPRESSOR IN THE SIDE WITH THE WIRES. BEFORE TAKING THAT OFF UNPLUG IT FIRST.....

FRS6HR5HSB6 model frigidaire side by side fan making noise. Ice is building up around fan. What is causing ice buildup

the defrost circuit has a problem, allowing the frost/ice buildup..
remove the shelves, and back lower cover in the rear of the freezer to expose the evaporator coil, defrost heater, and defrost thermostat.
the defost heater should have continuity through it and the defrost thermostat will have continuity when frozen but test open when warmed.. if either bad replace.
if both test good look for bad connections in the freezer compartment wiring, and moly connectors otherwise the temperature controls are bad and it is an electronic assembly that incorporates the temperature controls with the deforst timer controls..
hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Frigidaire side by side fridge

Power to compressor must be off (about 5 minutes) before a restart should be tried. Some of these relays are thermal and must cool down before power is reapplied.
