Question about Baby Lock Sewing Machines
How to replace a broken needle in my baby lock serger pro line model BL450
I use a small screw driver to undo the screw, insert the needle all the way into the needle holder--flat side to the back of the machine, then tighten the screw back

Mmmm...., maybe NOT the solution, maybe, just a key.
I have a copy of theBaby LKock EA-605 instruction booklet in English, Germann, French and Spanish. NO ideas how it casme into my orbit, but happy to pass it on.

Try and loosen the screw, and use a magnet to pullout the broken piece. It likely slightly bent in there so you may need a pair of tweezers as well

SOURCE: I have a baby lock ea-605 serger
Assuming that (a) you have tried installing new needles, (b) the new needles are the correct system for the serger and the right size (typically size 14 for medium-weight fabrics, size 11 for lighter-weight fabrics), (c) the needles are installed correctly (inserted all the way up into the needle bar and facing the proper direction), then your machine is likely out of time and / or has a defective part such as an upper / lower looper. That will require professional attention to correct.
