Question about Encore The Print Shop 23 Deluxe Full Version for PC

Uninstalled printshop 23 and am having problems re-installing. The installation process stops half-way through the process.

When I reach the half-waypoint in installing - I get an error message are you sure you want to cancel installation? That's as far as I get.

Installing print shop 23 on windows 8.1 get framework incompatibility error. what should i do?


I now have PrintShop 23.1 up and running on my Windows 8.1. This is what worked for me:
1. First, RIGHT CLICK on the Printshop icon on your desktop, select Properties, click on Compatibility, and make the selection to run the program in Compatibility Mode for Windows 8. Click Apply, then OK to exit.
2. Double click the Printshop icon on your desk top to open Printshop. If it works - great! However, if it does NOT work, it means the .NET framework required to run the program was uninstalled or corrupted by the Windows 8.1 upgrade and needs to be reinstalled, so please do the following.
3. From your Control Panel, select Programs and Features; in Programs and Features, uninstall Printshop. (You get to the Control Panel by clicking on Settings in your desktop popout taskbar, usually on the right side.) 4. Check to make sure the Microsoft .NET framework is also uninstalled. If not, attempt to uninstall. If you have recently gone to Windows 8.1, it may be partly or fully uninstalled because the 8.1 upgrade might have removed (or damaged) part of it. If it will not uninstall, don't worry! Proceed . . . 5. Follow this step even if you see no sign of the .NET framework in Programs and Features. It is almost certain that you have debris from it on your computer because this is a known problem, and Printshop will not reinstall unless the debris is removed. THEREFORE, clean your computer by using the Microsoft .NET Framework Cleanup Tool found at the following link:

6. AFTER Printshop is once again installed, it will very likely NOT RUN unless you follow Step #1, above, to run it in Windows 8 Compatibility Mode.

I am currently using both Print Shop 5.0 Premier and Print Shop 10. I am switching to a new computer with Windows 7 and will need to install Print Shop 23 Deluxe. Will I be able to retrieve all the files...


I will advice you to locate the print-shop folders that are on your computer. or simple open one of the files you created with this software and right click file location. it will open where all the other files are stored on your computer. backup everything stored on your computer to a flash drive.

I purchased printshop 20 deluxe and installed on my computer which has windows 7 installed on it. The installation shows it was successful however when I try to run the printshop program it tries to start...


The Print Shop version 20 Deluxe for PC is not compatible with Windows 7. The newer Version 23 is compatible. This is due to software compatibility issues with Windows 7.

You can check for Win 7 Compatibility for "software or hardware" @ Windows 7 Compatibility Center

It will not run on Win 7, even when you are using the Compatibility Mode options. Too bad you have to get the newer version 23.

Printshop 20 deluxe will not install on computor has windows 7


Yes, it will NOT work on Vista or Windows 7. I had to upgrade to PS 23 on my computer. If you have 7 Professional or Ultimate, it is backwards compatible to accomodate older software. If you have Home Premium, it will NOT work on 7.

Printshop deluxe 22 compatibility with vista


It should install O.K. I have it on my PC with VISTA. You may have to "run as administrator". It will tell you when it trys to install. For sure PS 23 works on VIsta....

you have to go to the help section or help tab at the top of your printshop window, on your printshop program...and then click technical support , and it will give you options...click on the option of troubleshooting and it will take you to the broderbund direct online troubleshooting page, and click on the appropriate option for windows vista 64bit, and it will walk you through step by step; which involves going into your printer port settings under control panel section of your computer, and just follow the online directions...I just did it and my newsletter on printshop 23 deluxe is now saving without problems!

Wasn't prompted to load image disc print shop pro deluxe 23


just go to control panel, add remove programs, select print shop (change) and select modify it will allow you to change content to hard drive and not cd.

Hello, Encore Software has released a patch to make Print Shop Deluxe 22 compatible on Windows Vista.

Solution This Windows® Vista update will detect and repair The Print Shop® 22 and PrintMaster® 17 applications already installed on your computer. After applying this update The Print Shop® 22 and PrintMaster® 17 will operate normally on computers running Windows® Vista.

Update Instructions
1. Click the link located at the bottom of this page.
Note: For Microsoft® Internet Explorer® the File download dialog may appear. Select Save this program to disk and click OK.

2. Choose a location (e.g., the Desktop) and click Save. The download process will begin.

3. When the download is complete, close the Download window.

4. Locate and double-click the Broderbund_Print_Update.exe file that was downloaded to begin installing the update.

5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Note: Depending on system or user account settings, you may encounter several interruptions during the installation process. If so, please click Continue or Allow in order to proceed.

6. Launch and use The PrintShop® 22 or PrintMaster® 17.
