My television will lose cable connection and go to snow and high pitch noise. What is wrong with it?

These could signs of an unstable amplifier ahead of your TV or a strong transmitter nearby. Your TV is somehow being overloaded on it's cable input.
Check to see if there is a cable amplifier in line with your TV set. If you do, check to see if it has a variable gain control and back off the gain or amplification. Try removing the amplifier or device that may have an amplifier in it to see if that stops the overloading.
The overload could also come from a strong RF signal nearby. Investigate nearby transmitters. (Hams, CB, Police, Fire, etc.) You may be able in that case to install a band pass filter to attenuate the strong signal. Sometimes adding an earth ground (a stake in the ground with a wire leading to your TV set) connected to the outside shield of your coax lead from the cable will eliminate the strong overload signal.

I can get a strong signal on my sons netbook but when i go to go on the internet it will come up and say can't find page. what do i have to do?

Have you put an encryption key on the router? If so, have you entered this key in your sons netbook? It may be getting a strong signal but unless it is recognised will not be allowed to connect

Intermittent connection from router

Have you checked with your ISP on the strength and consistency of the signal before troubleshooting the router. If you're having problems with the wired connection, I would first try connecting directly to the modem to make sure you have a strong signal.
Let me know if you have a strong signal directly from the modem. We can troubleshoot the wireless router once we ensure the signal from the modem is good.
Thanks.

Wireless connection keeps falling

It may be just a problem of the signal bouncing around and your laptop is struggling at times to find the signal. Some earlier laptops don't have a wireless booster built in the screen. Go to your laptops' web site and see if there are any updated drivers for your wireless card. If still unhappy with results purchase a USB wireless dongle and dissable wireless card, it may have a better reception area, or purchase a signal booster that works in conjunction with your wireless router.
