Dell searches anbd never discovers targus speaker

Make sure to put the Targus Blutooth speaker in discover mode... You need Blutooth activated on your Dell as well. Otherwise, go to the Dell website and start a chat or go to the Tagus web site and chat with them.

I'm trying to g wireless and when I unplug the ethernet wire I get a message " local cord disconnected" and on the wireless connection it day's "limited or no Internet use"

you need to first reset the box by unplugging power cord. It should power up with your regular settings. If not, then hit the reset button in the very back with a paper clip end.
Next step is launch your AT&T Self support using and your ID/PW this will look at your router for you. YOu will need the two sets of codes on the underside of the gateway/router box.
IF still no action, use the ATT.COM/.NET chat line. its very good and they can self test for you. Calling the help line is not very helpful, use chat.

I just reinstalled vista on my Dell studio laptop and it cant find my wireless network in my home. What do I do to fix the problem?

you must have the driver cd for that computer - If you do not have one you can hardwire and try to download all drivers or order cd from manufacturer

Cant get dell insiron 1525 to restore factory settings

Dell Tec told me to choose "To set up Windows XP now" (with Operating System CD in drive) If it doesn't work try Dell Tech Chat. I kept getting "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file." (I tried to restore to original factory, followed directions, f12 boot from CD but when I get to "Agree to Licensing Agreement" none of the keys work except ESC.) I was able to get on the Dell Tech Chat at (you need your Service Tag) tried same steps but keys would not work so they sent me a new hard drive that I can install myself. Evidently there is no way to fix this. Tech says wireless will work with new hard drive. Is your warranty active? I always get (cheaper than most) warranty. They fix or give you what you paid. Everything I buy breaks & sooner than you would think.

I just bought a new laptop and I alredy have another on the line. How do we get the original and the two laptops on the one line?

1 new laptop, another already on the line, then you mention wanting the original and the 2 laptops on one line. So is the "original" hard wired to the router ? Meaning not on a wireless connection. By one line, are you wanting to be able to do file shareing between the 3 ? Is that what you are referring to or something else? Were the 1st laptop and the original set up like you want to have the network set up now ? You may need to go into the configuration settings of the router and make sure that the maximum number of users is more than one.Find this under the Basic Setup tab>Network Setup. Would say something like Capture(setupcontent.maxdhcpusr)Maximum Number of DHCP Users:

The router manufacturer website may have additional help to help make sure all the configuration settings are correct. They may offer free Live Chat support or if the router is still under warranty they should have tech support by phone.

Windows has a network connection wizard located in the Control Panel that should be able to do what you are wanting.

D link Airplus G DwL-G510

You have at first to connect the pc to the router via ethernet (cable) and set up the router (IP, DHCP on/off, Encryption).
Important: Encryption method (WPA/PST TKIP) and key must be the same on router and pc. For trying you can disable the encryption temporarily.

TCP-Properties of the WLAN-Card at the pc must set to get IP & DNS automatic if DHCP ist active on the router, otherwise you must give a fixed IP, Gateway (= Router-IP) and DNS (from ISP) to the WLAN-Adapter.

Wireless network connection, Intel (r) pro/wireless 2200bg says not connected. How do I get it to say connected? I have disabled it and then enabled it and to my surprise it still says not connected- How...

Try these first:

Make sure that the wep password is correct.

change channels to 1-6-or 11.

check is to make sure you are NOT using "IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network."

You can find at setting under "Wireless Network Connection Properties" and then under "Authentication" tab of your network properties.

This particular authentication method is periodically logging you off the network and re-authenticating.

Check the adapter in device manager to make sure that windows is not shutting the adapter down to save power.

Cordless phones1.gif and wireless ethernet cards use overlapping frequencies. As a test, you can unplug the AC cords from all the cordless phones in the area and see if it helps.

WLG1101 Connection Issue

You have described the issue pretty well, however, there are some more questions which still need to be asked and we would need to go through a series of troubleshooting steps before ariving at a solution. So, I would suggest - Go to the fixya homepage and click on the free live chat link on the top right corner and whenever you see me online, just initiate a chat with me and we will carry on from there. Cheers
