Question about Brother MFC-8860DN All-In-One Laser Printer
Just because ours is doing similar, if you've had the printer for a little while and it has likely printed out quite a few pages (around 100,000 or more) then you may need to replace the PF (paper feed) kit. The LCD should flash you a message to replace it, but in our case, we had to do some sort of test where you go to the menu and I believe I typed in "72" ... but I'd call Brother Customer Service. I had to wait about 10 minutes and although the lady at the other end was likely somewhere off shore (somewhat of an accent w/ trouble understanding certain questions) she was helpful in the end and made some decent suggestions... you just have to be patient. But if it's constant jamming and you've had the printer for a while now, I'd look into replacing the PF kit... which is what I'm doing right now. It's about a $20 part, but the service tech company here locally wants to charge $85 to switch it out, so I'm trying to find directions on how to do this myself. Hopefully by now, you've solved your problem... or maybe even moved on to a new unit.
