I downloaded a free trial of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 and did not receive the product key. Any suggestions?

Hi

You don't say where you downloaded from.

Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs

Remove MS Office and MS Office Trial completely (including all components).

Don't worry, any documents you have already created will not be affected.

Resatart the computer.

Go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

Download MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial and install again, carefully following each step.

If you do not wat to buy or cannot afford full MS Office, consider a free, comparable program -

Open Office - from:

www.openoffice.org.

You can use this simultaneously with MS Office Trial.

If you delete MS Office Trial before the 60 day expiry, and follow the above procedure, removing all components and restarting before downloading and installing, you can enter into a 2nd 60 Day trial period.

Hope this helps.

I installed ms office 2010 but my ms office was uninstalled. why/

Office 2010 is creating a big mess for people who did not completely remove ALL previous versions of MS Office from their PC before attempting to upgrade to the new version. I recently experienced this while attempting to clean up a similar mess encountered by a customer of mine who had bought MS Office 2010 on a Product Key card from Best Buy, tried to install it over 2007, and ended up with no working component of Office at all. The biggest surprise--to me anyway--seems to be that you have to remove some things I would never even consider a problem, like older 'Office' trials, 'reader' components, and even the standalone version of Vizio (which turned out to be the problem on the mess I cleaned up). Anything necessary to be removed can be done via the 'Programs and Features' folder in the Control Panel. The one I repaired was so far gone that I finally relented and performed a recovery on it for my client, then went immediately in, removing all the Office components I had found to be issues, and THEN downloaded and installed '2010'. That worked for me. Microsoft posts a help page-->CLICK HERE--but that did NOT work for me, even though it looks helpful enough (even the little download at bottom). Hope this helps.

I have the cd for microsoft office but my product key does not work please help i have many work to do on publisher, word, power point and excel!!!

Publisher is not a component of Office Standard 2007, so I wouldn't expect that the Product Key for Office Standard would not install/activate Publisher 2007.

Look here for a license: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA102103171033.aspx

Microsoft publisher 2007

The only key you need to install Office 2007 and its various components is the product key. The referral key is not required to activate Office 2007.

HI Deb,
You will need to update windows to service pack3 first. Then once completed click "start" and open "control panel" and then "Add Remove programs-software" Scroll through list of installed software and identify all and only the office related components "select" each component individually then click "remove/uninstall" Remove all previous installed office components, starting with the smallest sized file to the largest, once completed restart your machine and try the office install disk again. See below for service pack three download info and links:

Download the service pack manually You can use Windows Update or the Microsoft Download Center to obtain Windows XP SP3 online. Check for updates on Windows Update loadTOCNode(4, 'moreinformation'); To check for updates on Windows Update, follow these steps:

  2. Click Express (Recommended).
  3. If your computer is up to date, Windows XP SP3 will be one of the updates that is automatically selected. Click Install. If your computer is not up to date, Windows Update will offer some other updates that you have to install first. Install those, and then repeat steps 1 and 2 to obtain Windows XP SP3.

Microsoft equation

Microsoft Equation is an optional component and is not automatically installed. To install Microsoft Equation, you have to run the Office Installer, and select Custom Installation. The installation wizard will present you with the optional components to install. Find Microsoft Equation, and make sure the Run this in my computer option is selected. Then continue with the installation. Office will configure itself to include the Microsoft Equation program.
